Het Pijncentrum behoort tot de dienst Anesthesie van AZ Turnhout. Het doel van het centrum is om enerzijds patiënten te helpen hun pijn te verminderen en anderzijds de levenskwaliteit van de patiënt te verbeteren.

Het centrum bestaat uit drie afdelingen: de interventionele pijnkliniek (voor ambulante patiënten), het multidisciplinair centrum voor de behandeling van chronische pijn (MDCCP) en het multidisciplinair algologische team (MAT, voor gehospitaliseerde patiënten). Naast negen pijnartsen of algologen, werken er op de pijnkliniek nog opgeleide pijnverpleegkundigen, pijnpsychologen, een kinesist, een sociaal werker, een ergotherapeut en medisch secretariaatsmedewerkers. Jaarlijks zijn er ongeveer 19.000 medische en 3.000 paramedische patiëntencontacten.

In 2027 beginnen we te bouwen aan ons ‘Gasthuis in het groen’: een gloednieuw ziekenhuis op campus Sint-Jozef waar we alle diensten van de huidige twee campussen samenbrengen.

Functie

  • Je werkt als verpleegkundige op de interventionele pijnkliniek op campus Sint-Jozef.
  • Je staat samen met de rest van het verpleegkundig team in voor de zorg van patiënten die voor een pijnbehandeling komen en de administratieve opvolging hiervan: Je staat in voor de administratieve voorbereiding van het patiëntendossier Je zorgt voor een warm onthaal Je verzorgt de anamnese en stelt voorbereidende verpleegkundige handelingen Je assisteert de arts tijdens de interventie Je geeft de nodige nazorg aan de patiënt Je zorgt voor de correcte afhandeling van het patiëntendossier
  • Je werkt 75, 80, 90 of 100% (bespreekbaar).
  • Je werkt in dagdienst en er is geen weekendwerk.
  • Je bent bij voorkeur snel beschikbaar.

Profiel

  • Je beschikt over een HBO5- of bachelorsdiploma in de verpleegkunde of vroedkunde (bachelor vroedkunde indien behaald voor 01/10/2018).
  • Het is een meerwaarde de opleiding radioprotectie gevolgd te hebben of je bent bereid deze nog te volgen.
  • Je hebt affiniteit voor verpleegkundige zorg aan pijnpatiënten.
  • Je bent technisch aangelegd.
  • Je weet patiënten op een gepaste manier te ondersteunen. Je hebt een empathische, open en discrete houding.
  • Je kan zowel zelfstandig als in een multidisciplinair team werken.
  • Je bent stressbestendig en werkt efficiënt en kwaliteitsvol.
  • Je hebt zin voor verantwoordelijkheid en initiatief.
