Bij het Brandwondencentrum van het Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis leer je een vak dat je maar op een beperkt aantal plekken in Nederland kunt uitoefenen. Je combineert werken en leren en groeit stap voor stap naar een rol waarin jouw kennis, aandacht en betrokkenheid écht verschil maken. Brandwondenzorg gaat verder dan de behandeling van een wond. Je begeleidt patiënten en hun naasten vanaf de acute fase tot aan herstel en revalidatie. Daarbij is aandacht voor zowel het lichamelijke als het psychosociale herstel belangrijk. Geen dag is hetzelfde. Wel weet je dat je er nooit alleen voor staat. Je werkt samen met ervaren collega's, krijgt persoonlijke begeleiding en krijgt steeds meer ruimte om zelfstandig te handelen. Jouw ontwikkeling begint hier Je start met de Basis Acute Zorg (BAZ) en stroomt daarna door naar de CZO-erkende opleiding tot brandwondenverpleegkundige. Tijdens je opleiding: - zorg je voor kinderen en volwassenen met uiteenlopende en soms complexe zorgvragen; - leer je specialistische brandwondenzorg direct in de praktijk toe te passen; - begeleid je patiënten en hun naasten tijdens een intensief zorgtraject; - werk je nauw samen met brandwondenartsen, intensivisten en andere disciplines; - ontwikkel je steeds meer kennis, vaardigheden en zelfstandigheid. Je leert dus niet alleen wat je moet doen, maar ook waarom. Zo groei je uit tot een verpleegkundige met specialistische expertise én oog voor de mens achter de patiënt.
