Als verpleegkundige operatiekwartier sta je in voor de opvang, assistentie bij installatie en opvolging van de patiënt in het operatiekwartier. Je werkt in een hoogtechnologische omgeving samen met verpleegkundigen, anesthesisten en chirurgen. Je observeert, verzorgt en assisteert tijdens de onmiddellijke pre-, per- en postoperatieve fase. Tijdens het verblijf van de patiënt in het OK draag je eveneens bij tot de psychosociale zorgaspecten. Je past de specifieke verpleegtechnische handelingen toe die betrekking hebben op de chirurgische ingreep en anesthesie, met in achtneming van de hygiëne- en steriliteitsprincipes. Je bent bereid om voortdurend bij te scholen binnen de verschillende chirurgische disciplines.

Een bachelor in de verpleegkunde, meerwaarde BANABA in de operatieverpleegkunde. Je bent sociaal, integer , klantgericht en kan je mannetje staan in een stressvolle omgeving. Je bent een teamspeler, flexibel inzetbaar en bereid om wachtdiensten te doen. Je wil je engageren en zin voor verantwoordelijkheid. Je werkt nauw samen met de artsen om in veilige omstandigheden een operatie tot een goed einde te brengen. Ervaring is een pluspunt, opleiding wordt voorzien op de afdeling zelf
