SP Neurologische revalidatie is een gespecialiseerde afdeling voor patiënten met langdurige revalidatiebehoeften vanuit een niet-aangeboren hersenletsel (NAH) zoals een acuut CVA, mensen met gangstoornissen, Parkinson of MS.

Tijdens de revalidatie wordt gestreefd naar een zo groot mogelijke functionele zelfredzaamheid van de revalidanten, zodat terugkeer naar huis of een geschikte woonomgeving mogelijk is. Het behandelteam werkt interdisciplinair en als verpleegkundige sta je in voor de dagelijkse verzorging, je vult de therapeuten aan tijdens de dagelijkse zorgen wat betreft, hygiëne, wondzorg, medicatie,… Ook oefen je de aangeleerde vaardigheden verder met de revalidanten. Je houdt rekening met ieders beperkingen, maar vooral met de mogelijkheden die er zijn. We bieden de mogelijkheid om je via bijkomende opleidingen verder te verdiepen in de revalidatiezorg, bv. in het revalidatiecentrum Pellenberg van UZ Leuven.

Wat ons echt onderscheidt als afdeling is onze warme, gemoedelijke sfeer. Doordat revalidanten langer op onze dienst verblijven creëer je een hechtere band, waardoor er in teamverband zo goed mogelijk samen met de patiënt kan gefocust worden op de revalidatie.

In AZ Turnhout bieden we je de mogelijkheden van een grote organisatie, gecombineerd met het persoonlijk karakter een klein ziekenhuis. Door onze grootte kunnen we inzetten op verschillende specialisaties en voortdurend investeren in nieuwe technologieën en innovaties. We vinden het belangrijk dat niet enkel patiënten maar ook medewerkers zich Gast voelen in ons Huis.

In 2027 beginnen we te bouwen aan ons ‘Gasthuis in het groen’: een gloednieuw ziekenhuis op campus Sint-Jozef waar we alle diensten van de huidige twee campussen samenbrengen.

Functie

  • Je werkt op de SP Neurologische revalidatie (21 revalidatiebedden + 6 chirurgiebedden) op campus Sint-Elisabeth.
  • Je staat in, als lid van een multidisciplinair team, voor de totale verpleegkundige zorgverlening en de administratieve opvolging hiervan.
  • Je werkt 75, 80, 90 of 100% (bespreekbaar).
  • Je werkt in een shiftensysteem (vroege, late, dag en nacht).
  • Je werkt 1 op de 2 weekends.

Profiel

  • Je beschikt over een graduaat basisverpleegkunde, HBO5- of bachelorsdiploma in de verpleegkunde of vroedkunde (bachelor vroedkunde enkel indien behaald voor 1/10/2018).
  • Je hebt de opleiding tot revalidatieverpleegkundige gevolgd of bent bereid deze te behalen.
  • Ervaring met neurologische revalidatie is geen vereiste, maar een pluspunt.
  • Je krijgt energie van chronische patiëntencontacten.
  • Je weet patiënten op een gepaste manier te ondersteunen en te motiveren in hun revalidatieproces.
  • Je kan zowel zelfstandig als in een multidisciplinair team werken.
  • Je bent verantwoordelijk, discreet en vriendelijk.
  • Je bent leergierig en streeft naar voortdurende verbetering.
  • Je kan vlot overweg met recente informatica-technische toepassingen.
