Wij zijn voor onze dienst radiotherapie van het Limburgs Oncologisch Centrum (LOC) op zoek naar een gemotiveerde en patiëntvriendelijke verpleegkundige/technoloog die verantwoordelijk is voor het plannen, uitvoeren en coördineren van de individueel aangepaste patiëntenzorg in het kader van bestraling van de patiënt.

Jouw takenpakket:

Enerzijds zijn hoogtechnologische vaardigheden een must:

  • Inplannen en administratief onthaal van de patiënt
  • Kennis verwerven met betrekking tot bestralen: van installatie tot bestraling voor elke patiënt
  • Positioneren en voorbereiden van de patiënt ten behoeve van het onderzoek en/of behandeling
  • Gebruik en bediening van toestellen in de radiotherapie waaronder conventionele en digitale radiologie ook van belang is, met of zonder contrastproducten. Alsook het beheer en klein onderhoud van het materiaal, apparatuur en producten.
  • Voorbereiding, manipulatie en toediening van medicatie en substanties met diagnostisch en/of therapeutisch doel. Instellen en gebruik van materiaal voor diagnose en/of behandeling (vb. injectietoestellen).
  • Plaatsen van een perifere veneuze toegangsweg.
  • Voorbereiden van, toedienen van en toezicht houden op de zorgverstrekking nodig voor de goede uitvoering van het onderzoek en/of de behandeling (vb. deelname aan radioprotectie en kwaliteitscontrole).

Anderzijds is een holistische benadering van de oncologische patiënt belangrijk:

  • Aandacht hebben voor de fysische en psychische noden van de patiënt om het algemeen welzijn van de patiënt te bewaken.
  • Bewaking van de vitale parameters en de biologische functies van de patiënt, alsmede van het materiaal hiervoor nodig, zowel tijdens als na het onderzoek en/of de behandeling.

Hoe zien we jou binnen ons team:

  • De job biedt interessante uren (voornamelijk dagdienst) mits de nodige flexibiliteit.
  • Je start aan 100% om de opleidingsperiode te optimaliseren. Na de opleidingsperiode kan je je jobtime verminderen tot 75%.
  • Binnen het LOC hebben we 2 campussen (Jessa en ZOL). Om de continuïteit te garanderen wordt er verwacht op beide sites werkzaam te zijn.
  • Op dit moment zoeken we iemand binnen Jessa om aan te werven en bouwen we een werfreserve op voor ZOL.
  • Binnen de afdeling zijn er verschillende uitdagingen waarin je kan doorgroeien. Volgens een opleidingsplan wordt verwacht jezelf bij te scholen, de evoluties en nieuwe technieken op te volgen en te implementeren. Waarna kennis kan overgedragen worden aan collega's.
  • Begeleiden, informeren en adviseren van collega's en stagiairs binnen het werkdomein.
  • Postgraduaat radiotherapie verplicht te volgen binnen 2 jaar werkervaring.

  • Je bent in het bezit van het diploma van technoloog medische beeldvorming of bachelor verpleegkunde.
  • Een opleiding radioprotectie voor verpleegkundigen is een pluspunt.
  • Je hebt een empathische ingesteldheid en beschikt over goede communicatieve vaardigheden;
  • Je hecht veel belang aan een constructieve samenwerking in multidisciplinair teamverband;
  • Flexibiliteit, nauwgezetheid en verantwoordelijkheidszin zijn je belangrijkste kenmerken.
