Ons team Neurologie-Neurochirurgie heeft als doel kwalitatieve zorg te leveren met aandacht voor de individuele patiënt en zijn familie. Wij streven ernaar om professionele en ook warme zorg te leveren aan patiënten met een neurologische aandoening zoals CVA, TIA, hersenbloeding, MS, ALS, migraine, hersentumoren, ... Ook patiënten die een neurochirurgische ingreep moeten ondergaan kan je op onze afdeling vinden. Een mooie combinatie van chronische en acute zorgen.

In AZ Turnhout bieden we je de mogelijkheden van een groot ziekenhuis, gecombineerd met het persoonlijk karakter van een klein ziekenhuis. Door onze grootte kunnen we inzetten op verschillende specialisaties en voortdurend investeren in nieuwe technologieën en innovaties. Zo bieden we onze medewerkers talloze leerkansen en doorgroeimogelijkheden. Maar wat ons echt onderscheidt is onze warme, gemoedelijke sfeer. We vinden het belangrijk dat niet enkel patiënten maar ook medewerkers zich Gast voelen in ons Huis.

In 2027 beginnen we te bouwen aan ons ‘Gasthuis in het groen’: een gloednieuw ziekenhuis op campus Sint-Jozef waar we alle diensten van de huidige twee campussen samenbrengen.

Functie

  • Je gaat aan de slag op de verpleegafdeling Neurologie-Neurochirurgie (30 bedden) op campus Sint-Elisabeth.
  • Je zorgt er samen met je collega’s voor dat patiënten de beste zorg krijgen in een patiëntgericht ziekenhuis.
  • Je staat samen met een multidisciplinair team in voor de totale verpleegkundige zorg en de administratieve opvolging hiervan.
  • Indien je als HBO5- of bachelor verpleegkundige ambitie of interesse hebt om je verder te verdiepen in de acute en hooggespecialiseerde zorg, kan je in een traject doorgroeien van de afdeling Neurologie-Neurochirurgie naar de afdeling Stroke: Je start op de neurologie-afdeling, waar je een stevige en brede basis opbouwt in de zorg voor patiënten met uiteenlopende neurologische en neurochirurgische aandoeningen. Door middel van opleiding en ervaring groei je door naar de Stroke afdeling. Daar werk je in een dynamische omgeving waar snelle interventie, samenwerking en gespecialiseerde kennis centraal staan. Het volgen van dit traject is geen verplichting, maar vormt een waardevolle kans voor verpleegkundigen die zich willen blijven ontwikkelen binnen de neurologische zorg.
  • Je werkt 50%, 60%, 75%, 80%, 90% of voltijds (bespreekbaar).
  • Je werkt in vroege, late, dag- en nachtdiensten.
  • Je werkt één weekend op twee. Indien je 50% werkt, zal je één weekend op vier werken.

Profiel

  • Je beschikt over een graduaat basisverpleegkunde, HBO5- of bachelorsdiploma in de verpleegkunde of vroedkunde (bachelor vroedkunde indien behaald voor 01/10/2018).
  • Relevante ervaring met neurologische patiënten is een pluspunt, maar geen vereiste.
  • Mogelijkheid om de basismodule neurologische zorgen te volgen is bespreekbaar.
  • Je kan zowel zelfstandig als in een (multidisciplinair) team werken.
  • Je bent patiëntgericht, discreet en vriendelijk.
  • Je bent stressbestendig en werkt efficiënt en kwaliteitsvol.
  • Je hebt zin voor verantwoordelijkheid en initiatief.
  • Je streeft naar voortdurende verbetering en staat open voor verandering.
  • Je kan goed overweg met recente informatica-technische toepassingen.
