Lees dan snel verder! Dit ga je doen Je komt de werken op locatie de Wellen in Oss in het gedeelte wat vroeger Vita Nova was. Jij maakt elke dag zo fijn mogelijk voor cliënten. Dat doe je door de juiste vragen te stellen; wat wilt u, wat kunt u zelf, wat heeft u van mij of anderen nodig? Je begeleidt, verzorgt en verpleegt, vooral bij dagelijkse dingen als wassen, aankleden en eten en drinken. Je houdt rekening met de gewoontes van de cliënten en zorgt dat ze zoveel mogelijk zelf de regie houden. Omdat je hen goed kent kun je de juiste sfeer creëren en voor een zinvolle dag zorgen. Bijvoorbeeld door het nieuws met ze te bespreken, te kletsen over vroeger of door samen te lachen om een leuk televisieprogramma. Wil iemand eerder opstaan omdat hij een dagje uit gaat? Dan plannen we dat in. En drinkt de ene cliënt ’s avonds nog koffie in de gemeenschappelijke ruimte, terwijl de andere vroeg naar bed gaat om daar nog lekker wat televisie te kijken? Geen probleem. Cliënten zijn tenslotte thuis, en daar richten wij onze zorg op in. Jij bent hun steun en toeverlaat, op goede én slechte dagen. Want je komt ook voor uitdagingen te staan: iemand begeleiden tijdens ziekte of bij een naderend overlijden bijvoorbeeld. Ook dat vind je mooie zorg, ook al is de afloop verdrietig.
