Wil jij bijdragen aan de aanwezigheid en ontwikkeling van onze leerlingen? Elke schooldag telt. Wanneer een leerling regelmatig afwezig is, kan dat verschillende oorzaken hebben. Als verzuimcoach kijk je verder dan alleen de absentiemelding. Je signaleert, gaat het gesprek aan met leerlingen en ouders/verzorgers en denkt mee over wat nodig is om een leerling weer goed aan te laten sluiten bij school. Wij zijn op zoek naar een betrokken en zelfstandige verzuimcoach die zich samen met onze school inzet voor het terugdringen van verzuim én het voorkomen ervan. Wat ga je doen? Als verzuimcoach houd je je bezig met verzuim, verzuimpreventie en de administratieve opvolging daarvan. Je werkt zowel op school als zelfstandig aan deze taken. Een belangrijk vast moment in de week is de maandag. Op maandag ben je de hele dag op school aanwezig en werk je vanuit een vaste ruimte die is ingericht voor verzuim. Op deze dag: - houd je je bezig met het opvolgen van leerlingverzuim; - spreek je leerlingen aan op hun afwezigheid; - voer je gesprekken met leerlingen over de oorzaak en achtergronden van hun verzuim; - heb je waar nodig contact met ouders/verzorgers; - signaleer je terugkerend of zorgelijk verzuim; - stem je af met mentoren, leerlingbegeleiders, zorgcoördinator en/of schoolleiding; - houd je de verzuimadministratie zorgvuldig bij; - verzorg je de administratieve verwerking en opvolging van de verzuimmail; - denk je actief mee over mogelijkheden om verzuim te voorkomen. De werkzaamheden rondom verzuim en verzuimpreventie vinden niet alleen op maandag plaats. Ook op andere momenten binnen je aanstelling volg je signalen en leerlingen op, voer je gesprekken en werk je aan preventie en verbetering van de aanpak rondom aanwezigheid. Verzuimpreventie Je kijkt niet alleen naar leerlingen die al veel verzuimen, maar juist ook naar signalen die kunnen wijzen op beginnend of terugkerend verzuim.
