Werk om trots op te zijn Wat deze plek extra interessant maakt, is dat je je kennis niet alleen uit een boek of stage moment leert. Je komt terecht op een nieuwe locatie waar nog volop ontwikkeld wordt. De Viking werkt vanuit het principe 'leven zoals thuis': niet automatisch zorg overnemen, maar kijken wat iemand zelf kan, wat iemand gewend is en wat belangrijk is in zijn of haar leven. Dat vraagt om goed kijken, klinisch redeneren en steeds opnieuw de juiste keuzes maken. Precies de praktijk waarin je jouw verpleegkundige ontwikkeling kunt verdiepen. Daarnaast ligt er op De Viking ruimte om jezelf verder te ontwikkelen in de richting die bij jou past. Als VIG krijg je bijvoorbeeld ruimte voor verpleegtechnische handelingen en kun je je verder verdiepen in een aandachtsgebied of specialisme. Ook zijn er mogelijkheden om samen met de casemanager dementie mee te denken tijdens huisbezoeken: wat moet iemand straks aan zorg krijgen en welke gewoontes en ondersteuning moeten juist behouden blijven? Daarmee groeit jouw rol mee met je opleiding. Je start vanuit alles wat je al kunt als VIG en krijgt steeds meer ruimte om je verpleegkundige kennis en vaardigheden toe te passen.
