Sleutelclub Kamerik is een plek voor jong en oud om te sleutelen, knutselen, koken en prutsen. Elke vrijdagavond bruist het bij de Sleutelclub. Onder begeleiding van enthousiaste vrijwilligers sleutelen kinderen aan fietsen, brommers of motoren, of gaan aan de slag met hout, verf en deeg. Sinds kort zijn er ook activiteiten voor senioren: op donderdagmiddag is het clubhuis open voor houtbewerking, techniek of gewoon een goed gesprek. Met een nieuw onderkomen en uitbreidende activiteiten, staat de Sleutelclub voor nieuwe uitdagingen. Zo verandert de manier waarop de club gefinancierd wordt. Fondsen zijn steeds vaker alleen beschikbaar voor specifieke projecten, en ook de gemeentelijke steun is beperkt. Daarom wordt het werven van fondsen en nieuwe samenwerkingen steeds belangrijker. Het bestuur - op dit moment bestaande uit drie actieve leden - zoekt versterking. De club is met spoed op zoek naar een voorzitter die samen met het team wil bouwen aan de toekomst van deze unieke plek in Kamerik. Het gaat om een functie van gemiddeld één tot twee uur per week.
