In verband met het plotselinge overlijden van de vorige voorzitter, zoekt KBO Gelderland een nieuwe voorzitter. KBO Gelderland is met ongeveer 12.000 leden de grootste seniorenorganisatie van Gelderland. KBO Gelderland is een actieve vrijwilligersorganisatie die opkomt voor de belangen van alle senioren in Gelderland. Zij staat voor het bevorderen van het welzijn, de participatie, integratie en gelijkwaardigheid van senioren in de samenleving. KBO Gelderland is een vitale vereniging voor en door senioren. 45 afdelingen De ongeveer 12.000 individuele leden zijn lid van de ongeveer 45 lokale afdelingen. Zij zijn het kloppende hart van onze vereniging en vormen de hoeksteen van KBO Gelderland. Binnen afdelingen ontmoeten leden elkaar, worden activiteiten georganiseerd en lokaal de belangen van senioren behartigd. KBO Gelderland staat ten dienste van de lokale afdelingen, verleent service en (inhoudelijke) ondersteuning aan afdelingen en hun bestuurders met als doel dat zij goed zijn toegerust om lokaal hun werk te kunnen doen. Het bestuur van KBO-Gelderland bestaat uit maximaal 7 bestuursleden. Er is een kleine organisatie aanwezig ter ondersteuning van het bestuur. KBO stond voor Katholieke Bond voor Ouderen. Onlangs is besloten KBO alleen nog als 'merknaam' te gebruiken. Of men daarbij denkt aan de oude naam, 'Krachtige Bond voor Ouderen', 'Kom Bij Ons' of nog iets anders, staat eenieder vrij. Seniorencoalitie KBO Gelderland is in 2025 samen met KBO Noord- en Zuid- Holland toegetreden tot de Seniorencoalitie. Dit is een breed platform van ANBO-PCOB, Koepel Gepensioneerden, NOOM en SOM.NL (beide voor ouderen met een migratieachtergrond). De Seniorencoalitie zet stevig in op belangenbehartiging rond onderwerpen zoals inkomen, pensioen, digitale samenleving, wonen, veiligheid, zingeving en gezondheid.
