Als vrijwilliger help je een cliënt niet alleen om te genieten van het water, maar ook om plezier, vertrouwen en succesmomenten te beleven. Wie zijn wij Ipse de Bruggen is de grootste zorgorganisatie in Zuid-Holland voor mensen met een verstandelijke beperking. Wij zijn gespecialiseerd in complexe zorgvragen. Op 370 zorglocaties bieden wij met ruim 5.500 medewerkers en 2.200 vrijwilligers bijna 5.700 cliënten zorg en ondersteuning bij wonen, werken, leren en ontspannen. Onze missie is: zorgen dat cliënten een goed leven hebben en zich kunnen blijven ontwikkelen. Wij geloven dat er altijd meer mogelijk is. Hoe klein het stapje ook is. Jouw baan als Vrijwilliger Zwemmen - Gehandicaptenzorg Als zwemvrijwilliger ondersteun je cliënten met een verstandelijke beperking tijdens zwemmomenten. Je draagt bij aan een veilige, ontspannen en plezierige ervaring in het water. Hierbij ben je altijd onderdeel van een groep en is deskundige begeleiding aanwezig. Jouw rol begint vaak al voordat het water in zicht is. Door tijd en aandacht te investeren in het contact met de cliënt bouw je aan vertrouwen. Je biedt een luisterend oor, stelt gerust waar nodig en moedigt aan wanneer iemand een stapje extra durft te zetten. In het zwembad draait het niet alleen om zwemmen, maar vooral om genieten. Voor de ene cliënt betekent dat lekker bewegen in het water, voor de andere cliënt juist oefenen met eenvoudige zwemvaardigheden of ontspannen drijven. Iedere activiteit wordt afgestemd op wat iemand kan en waar iemand zich prettig bij voelt. Goede communicatie speelt hierbij een belangrijke rol. Je sluit aan bij de mogelijkheden van de cliënt en houdt rekening met eventuele uitdagingen op het gebied van spraak of begrip. Met geduld, positieve aandacht en duidelijke uitleg help je de cliënt om vertrouwen op te bouwen en te genieten van het moment. Zwemmen biedt veel meer dan beweging

alleen. Het vergroot het zelfvertrouwen, stimuleert sociale contacten en zorgt voor plezier en ontspanning. Dankzij jouw inzet kunnen cliënten ervaringen opdoen die bijdragen aan hun welzijn, ontwikkeling en kwaliteit van leven. Je kunt rekenen op een goede inwerkperiode en professionele begeleiding. Wat krijg je van ons Wij zorgen goed voor onze vrijwilligers, want: je wordt enthousiast ingewerkt; je kunt je reiskosten declareren (in overleg onkosten); er is jaarlijks een cursusaanbod over uiteenlopende thema’s; wij zetten onze vrijwilligers regelmatig in het zonnetje; je ontvangt veel waardering en dankbaarheid, omdat jouw inzet zorgt voor mooie momenten die anders niet mogelijk zouden zijn. Informatie Je werkt bij Ipse de Bruggen vaak met kwetsbare cliënten. Daarom zijn wij zeer zorgvuldig in ons selectiebeleid. De aanvraag van een Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG), het navragen van referenties en het opvragen van informatie bij de Inspectie Gezondheidszorg en Jeugd maken onderdeel uit van de selectieprocedure. Ipse de Bruggen heeft voor iedere vrijwilliger een aansprakelijkheidsverzekering en een ongevallenverzekering afgesloten.
