Als vrijwilliger heeft jouw aanwezigheid een positieve invloed op het leven van anderen. Het werk is uitdagend, soms ontroerend, maar bovenal bevredigend, omdat je weet dat je een verschil maakt door er simpelweg te zijn voor de cliënt. Wie zijn wij Ipse de Bruggen is de grootste zorgorganisatie in Zuid-Holland voor mensen met een verstandelijke beperking. Wij zijn gespecialiseerd in complexe zorgvragen. Op 370 zorglocaties bieden wij met ruim 5.500 medewerkers en 2.200 vrijwilligers bijna 5.700 cliënten zorg en ondersteuning bij wonen, werken, leren en ontspannen. Onze missie is: zorgen dat cliënten een goed leven hebben en zich kunnen blijven ontwikkelen. Wij geloven dat er altijd meer mogelijk is. Hoe klein het stapje ook is. Jouw baan als Vrijwilliger Zwemmen - Gehandicaptenzorg Als zwemvrijwilliger bij een cliënt met een verstandelijke beperking vervul je een rol die niet alleen gericht is op lichamelijke activiteit, maar ook op plezier, comfort en zelfvertrouwen in het water. Je bent als vrijwilliger altijd in een groep waarbij deskundige begeleiding aanwezig is. De eerste uitdaging begint vaak buiten het zwembad, met het opbouwen van een vertrouwensband met de cliënt. Jouw rol is niet alleen begeleiden in het water, maar ook het bieden van geruststelling en aanmoediging. In het zwembad zelf draait het niet alleen om zwemvaardigheden, maar ook om het genieten van de wateromgeving. Activiteiten kunnen variëren van eenvoudig spetteren en drijven tot het aanleren van basiszwemtechnieken. Elke sessie is afgestemd op de individuele mogelijkheden en comfortniveaus van de cliënt. Als zwemvrijwilliger is het van groot belang om de communicatie aan te passen aan de behoeften van de cliënt, rekening houdend met mogelijke uitdagingen in spraak of begrip. Duidelijke instructies, positieve bekrachtiging en geduld zijn sleutelwoorden tijdens de zwemsessies. In het algemeen is het werk van een zwemvrijwilliger bij een cliënt met een verstandelijke beperking een boeiende en

lonende ervaring. Het bevordert niet alleen fysieke gezondheid, maar draagt ook bij aan de emotionele en sociale ontwikkeling van de cliënt. Het is een kans om een positieve impact te hebben door middel van een activiteit die niet alleen leuk is, maar ook tal van voordelen biedt voor het welzijn van de cliënt. Je kunt rekenen op een goede inwerkperiode en professionele begeleiding. Wat krijg je van ons Wij zorgen goed voor onze vrijwilligers: Je wordt enthousiast ingewerkt. Je kunt je reiskosten declareren (in overleg onkosten). Er is jaarlijks een cursusaanbod over uiteen lopende thema’s. Wij zetten onze vrijwilligers regelmatig in het zonnetje. En hele dankbare gezichten omdat door jouw hulp meer mogelijk is. Informatie Je werkt bij Ipse de Bruggen vaak met kwetsbare cliënten. Daarom zijn wij zeer zorgvuldig in ons selectiebeleid. De aanvraag Verklaring omtrent het gedrag (VOG), het navragen van referenties en het opvragen van informatie bij de Inspectie Gezondheidszorg en Jeugd maken om die reden onderdeel uit van de selectieprocedure. Ipse de Bruggen heeft voor iedere vrijwilliger een aansprakelijkheidsverzekering en een ongevallenverzekering afgesloten.
