Je combineert werken en leren en ontwikkelt je stap voor stap tot begeleider. Je begeleidt volwassen bewoners in hun dagelijks leven en sluit aan bij hun individuele behoeften, mogelijkheden en zorgvragen. Je ondersteunt bewoners bij persoonlijke verzorging en dagelijkse activiteiten, waar dat nodig is. Je leert moeilijk verstaanbaar gedrag herkennen, begrijpen en hier professioneel en passend mee omgaan. Je leert omgaan met situaties waarin de spanning kan oplopen en draagt bij aan een veilige en voorspelbare omgeving. Je werkt samen met collega's en andere betrokken professionals rondom de bewoner. Je draagt bij aan een veilige, vertrouwde en zo prettig mogelijke leefomgeving. Je reflecteert op je eigen handelen en ontwikkelt jezelf gedurende de opleiding tot een professionele begeleider.

Bij BBL-weg 4 in Assen bieden we een werken-en-lerenplek voor iemand die zich wil ontwikkelen binnen de gehandicaptenzorg en wil leren werken met volwassenen met complexe zorgvragen.

Op BBL-weg 4 wonen volwassenen die intensieve begeleiding en ondersteuning nodig hebben. Er is sprake van moeilijk verstaanbaar gedrag (MVG) en complexe zorg- en begeleidingsvragen. Binnen de locatie is ook een crisisgang aanwezig voor situaties waarin tijdelijk extra intensieve begeleiding en ondersteuning nodig is.

Het werken op deze locatie vraagt om een professionele en rustige houding. Je leert gedrag te begrijpen, signalen tijdig te herkennen en samen met collega's passende ondersteuning te bieden. Geen dag is hetzelfde. Daarom zoeken we iemand die stevig in zijn schoenen staat, nieuwsgierig is en verder kijkt dan het gedrag: naar de persoon en zijn of haar mogelijkheden.
