Wetenschappelijk Laboratoriummedewerker - € 4.987 - € 6.825 per maand - Klinische Genetica Vacature details Solliciteren Functieomschrijving Wat ga je doen? Als wetenschappelijk laboratorium medewerker in de genoomdiagnostiek ben je verantwoordelijk voor (complexe) genetische diagnostiek en innovatie binnen het laboratorium van de afdeling Klinische Genetica. Je zult deels (ca. 50%) werkzaam zijn binnen het thema Orgaan systemen met als speerpunt de cardiogenetica, waarbij je verantwoordelijk bent voor het interpreteren en rapporteren van genoomdiagnostische data en uitslagen volgens (inter)nationale richtlijnen zoals ISO 15189, ISCN, HGVS en ACMG. Daarnaast zul je (ca. 50%) werkzaam zijn binnen het innovatie team van het laboratorium en o.a. werken aan de implementatie van nieuwe technieken binnen de moleculaire genetica. Hoe ziet je werkomgeving eruit? De afdeling Klinische Genetica van het MUMC+ bestaat uit een polikliniek en een laboratorium, met in totaal ongeveer 190 medewerkers. Het ISO15189 gecertificeerde laboratorium bestaat uit genoomdiagnostiek, met daarbinnen geïntegreerd niet-invasieve prenatale diagnostiek (NIPT) en Preïmplantatie Genetische Testen (PGT), en biochemische genetica. Cardiogenetica is een van de speerpunten van ons laboratorium en van onze afdeling. Wij werken nauw samen met de afdeling Genetica van het Radboud UMC. Deze samenwerking maakt zich sterk voor een genome-first benadering in de klinisch genetische diagnostiek, en voor vergaande integratie met diagnostische processen van andere klinische afdelingen. Daarmee komt genetisch onderzoek in snel tempo centraal te staan in een veelheid van diagnostische processen in de academische gezondheidszorg. De komende jaren zal genetica toenemend een preventief en ook therapeutisch karakter krijgen. Daarmee staan we in het middelpunt van een groot aantal vernieuwingen in de gezondheidszorg.
