Als Yard Controller ben je het centrale aanspreekpunt op de site en zorg je ervoor dat alle containerbewegingen op het terrein efficiënt verlopen. Je combineert administratief werk met operationele opvolging en staat voortdurend in contact met chauffeurs, transporteurs, rederijen en collega's op het terrein.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

  • Ontvangen en begeleiden van vrachtwagenchauffeurs aan de gate.
  • Telefonisch en via e-mail communiceren met chauffeurs, transportfirma's en rederijen.
  • Werken met verschillende computersystemen voor registratie, planning en opvolging.
  • Efficiënt plannen en organiseren van de beschikbare ruimte op het terrein.
  • Opvolgen van de bezetting van het plein en bijsturen waar nodig.
  • Dagelijks afstemmen met stackerchauffeurs en operationele collega's op de site.
  • Nauwe samenwerking met de CSO-afdeling voor de containerplanning.
  • Administratieve verwerking en opvolging van operationele dossiers.
  • Je beschikt over een sterk logisch redeneervermogen.
  • Je hebt een goede administratieve basis en werkt nauwkeurig.
  • Je bent stressbestendig en behoudt het overzicht, ook tijdens piekmomenten.
  • Je communiceert vlot en durft je mening te geven.
  • Je hebt een sterk karakter en neemt initiatief.
  • Je bent dynamisch, proactief en oplossingsgericht.
  • Je werkt graag samen met collega's uit verschillende afdelingen.
  • Ervaring in logistiek, transport of planning is een pluspunt.
