ZorgSpectrum locatie Vreeswijk is een gezellige woonzorglocatie gelegen aan de Lek in Nieuwegein. De locatie ademt de gemoedelijke sfeer van het oude schippersdorp Vreeswijk, waar het gevoel van ons-kent-ons sterk aanwezig is. Er wordt wonen met zorg geboden voor zowel mensen met lichamelijke chronische aandoeningen (somatiek) als voor mensen met een psychogeriatrische aandoening zoals dementie. Daarnaast is in de locatie het Regionaal Expertise Centrum D-ZEP gevestigd, een gespecialiseerde afdeling voor mensen met dementie en zeer ernstig probleemgedrag. Bewoners en buurtbewoners kunnen deelnemen aan uiteenlopende activiteiten en de locatie doet graag mee aan typisch Vreeswijkse evenementen. Op loopafstand vind je winkelcentrum Hoog Zandveld en de historische dorpskern met onder andere het oude Fort Vreeswijk. De locatie is goed bereikbaar met de tram (halte Nieuwegein-Zuid), de bus (halte 't Veerhuis) en per auto via de A2 en A27. Als verzorgende IG bied je persoonlijke verzorging en voer je verpleegtechnische handelingen uit volgens het zorgleefplan van de bewoner. Je helpt bij wassen, aankleden, eten, mobiliteit, toiletgang en andere dagelijkse activiteiten. Binnen je bevoegdheid voer je medische handelingen uit en signaleer je veranderingen in de lichamelijke of geestelijke gezondheid van ouderen. Je stimuleert het welzijn, de eigen regie en de zelfredzaamheid van bewoners en draagt samen met collega's bij aan een veilige, vertrouwde en gestructureerde woonomgeving. Je werkt zelfstandig en in teamverband in stabiele zorgsituaties en stemt af met artsen, specialisten ouderengeneeskunde en andere zorgprofessionals binnen een multidisciplinair team.
