De rol

In de rol van Regional Business/Financial Controller ondersteun je de Regional Finance Manager en het management bij het rapporteren, controleren en budgetteren van de regio. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het uitvoeren van gedetailleerde financiële analyses en het identificeren van verbeterpunten. Je werkt nauw samen met verschillende operationele afdelingen om de financiële en operationele prestaties te optimaliseren en biedt waardevol advies ter ondersteuning van de besluitvorming.

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het opstellen van de budgetten en forecasts voor de toegewezen organisatieonderdelen. Dit stelt het management in staat om beter inzicht te krijgen in de financiële gegevens en hierop te kunnen sturen. Daarnaast implementeer en onderhoud je business controls om ervoor te zorgen dat processen optimaal blijven verlopen. Je adviseert het management over eventuele afwijkingen en coördineert acties om deze te corrigeren. Verder optimaliseer je voortdurend het budget- en forecastproces om efficiënter te kunnen rapporteren.

Een ander belangrijk aspect van je functie is de controlecyclus. Je ondersteunt de maand- en jaarafsluitingen en bereidt reconciliaties voor. Je houdt toezicht op dagelijkse en wekelijkse cijfers en voert interne controles uit om de financiële integriteit te waarborgen. Daarnaast assisteer je bij de voorbereiding van de jaarlijkse audit en financiële rapporten, waarbij je nauwkeurig en volgens de geldende richtlijnen te werk gaat.

Je speelt ook een cruciale rol in het uitvoeren van financiële analyses. Je analyseert proactief de winst- en verliesrekening (P&L) en adviseert het management over eventuele afwijkingen. Wanneer nodig, stel je ad-hoc analyses op om specifieke vragen van het management te beantwoorden en vervolgacties te coördineren. Jouw analyses helpen de organisatie om beter gefundeerde beslissingen te nemen en processen verder te optimaliseren.

Jij

Als Regional Business/Financial Controller beschik je over sterke analytische vaardigheden, waarmee je financiële gegevens kunt interpreteren en complexe problemen snel kunt doorgronden. Je bent georganiseerd en in staat om meerdere taken tegelijk te plannen en uit te voeren, zonder dat dit ten koste gaat van nauwkeurigheid. Je hebt een scherp oog voor detail en weet cijfers om te zetten in bruikbare inzichten. Daarnaast ben je conceptueel sterk en kun je abstracte vraagstukken helder uitleggen. Tot slot werk je graag in teamverband en kun je effectief communiceren met collega's en stakeholders op verschillende niveaus.

Verder:

  • Je hebt een bachelor of master in Finance of iets gelijkaardig
  • Je hebt grondige kennis van boekhoudkundige principes
  • Je kan goed met Excel overweg. Ervaring met SAP is een plus
  • Je hebt een vloeiende beheersing van zowel Nederlands als Engels.
