Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

• Receiving, processing, labeling of samples in an accurate, timely, and consistent manner.

• Accurate and timely data collection, analysis and interpretation, and accurate record keeping.

• Adherence to laboratory SOPs, Quality Assurance and Quality Control protocols and procedures.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.

• Cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory stations and general facilities.

• Supporting laboratory technicians, chemists and scientists as instructed.

• Entering/recording data in LIMS and other records to be verified and validated by senior lab staff.

Qualifications

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma/Certification from a recognized Laboratory Technician, Biotechnology, or a similar program.

• 1 year of laboratory experience an asset.

• Preferred experience in GLP, GMP background.

• Strong work ethic, initiative, punctuality and following through on commitments.

• Proficiency in excel, database user-interfaces, and query software.

• Effective time and task management.

• Great organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Knowledge of GMP and ISO 17025 requirements an asset.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

• LIMS experience is an asset.

Requirements:

Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Woodbridge, ON, before starting work

• Must have shift flexibility. Weekdays and weekends.

• Does NOT require sponsorship to work in Canada

• Minimum 1yr laboratory experience

• Minimum 1 year working in an ISO/GMP regulated environment is an asset

Years of Service:

• Lab Assistant I: 1-3 years of Eurofins ExperNorth experience in role

• Lab Assistant II: 3-5 years of Eurofins ExperNorth experience in role

• Lab Assistant III: 5+ years of Eurofins ExperNorth experience in role

* ExperNorth may adjust YOS qualifications based on skillset and knowledge on a case-by-case basis.
