The posting

Would you like an exciting career with a high degree of development and responsibilities? Does it motivate you to be on the frontline of the renewable energy business? Are you motivated by designing, implementing, and operating secure, reliable network infrastructure in an international renewable energy business? Then you may be our new Senior Network Engineer in the Production IT team.

European Energy is a growing company in the renewable energy sector. We are a privately owned Danish company founded in 2004, with our headquarters in Copenhagen. We develop, construct, and operate solar (PV) and wind energy projects globally, as well as Power-to-X projects. In addition, we explore new technologies, including battery energy storage, biogas, and carbon capture. As part of this, we are highly active in M&A activities across the entire value chain. Our core values form the foundation of everything we do: In It Together, Trust and Courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.

Your New Team

You will join our Production IT team, a newly established function responsible for building and operating scalable, secure, and standardized OT infrastructure capabilities across our global portfolio of renewable energy assets. Production IT acts as the bridge between OT systems at site level and centralized services.

Based in Copenhagen, this role will collaborate closely with colleagues across EPC Project Delivery, Operational Technology (OT), IT Security Operations, Asset Management & Operations, as well as a range of external partners and technology providers to support the successful delivery and operation of our renewable energy assets worldwide.

Your New Role

As our new Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the design, security, and reliability of our network infrastructure across a growing portfolio of projects and operational sites. With a strong focus on network architecture, connectivity, standardization, and operational excellence, you will play a critical role in ensuring a robust and future-ready network environment.

You will work across the full infrastructure lifecycle, from defining requirements and reviewing designs to implementation, operational transition, troubleshooting, optimization, and ongoing enhancements, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement across the network landscape.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Contribute to the design, standardization, and governance of network architectures across European Energy's renewable energy assets.
  • Define and maintain network requirements, standards, templates, configurations, and technical documentation.
  • Review network designs and technical proposals from projects, suppliers, and implementation partners.
  • Design, configure, and support routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, wireless connectivity, and secure remote access solutions.
  • Implement and maintain network segmentation, firewall policies, access controls, and other network security measures.
  • Support reliable site connectivity and communication between local infrastructure, central services, and external networks.
  • Troubleshot complex network, connectivity, availability, and performance issues across distributed sites.
  • Support the secure transition of network infrastructure from project delivery into stable operations, including technical validation and handover.
  • Contribute to network monitoring, configuration management, lifecycle management, capacity planning, backup, recovery, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers, acting as a senior technical resource for network infrastructure across projects and operational assets.

Professional skills we expect from you

  • Several years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating enterprise or industrial network infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, network segmentation, and secure remote access.
  • Experience with resilient and highly available network design across distributed locations.
  • Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting, traffic analysis, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with network monitoring, configuration management, documentation, and lifecycle management.
  • Good understanding of network security principles and the practical implementation of cybersecurity controls.
  • Experience reviewing technical designs, coordinating suppliers, and supporting implementation and operational handover.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in an international environment.

We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented network professional with strong technical ownership and stakeholder management skills. You are structured, quality-focused, and comfortable working across multiple sites, projects, suppliers, and disciplines.

We Offer

  • We offer an opportunity to take on a key role in building the Production IT function at European Energy.
  • You will help establish how we design, operate, standardize, secure, and scale OT network infrastructure across our global portfolio, moving from project-based delivery towards a more structured and sustainable operating model.
  • You will work in a dynamic and international environment with strong technical ownership, visible impact, and opportunities for professional development.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
