The posting

We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Mobile to lead our mobile engineering team and help shape the future of our mobile platform. This role is ideal for someone who is both a hands-on technical leader and an experienced engineering manager, with deep expertise in mobile development across iOS, Android, and cross-platform technologies.

You will guide the team through major technical initiatives including platform modernization, architectural design, and the integration of AI-assisted development tools, while building a high-performing engineering team and maintaining strong development practices.

This role requires someone who has personally built mobile systems at scale, successfully led codebase and platform transformations, and can help the team adopt modern development workflows including AI-enabled coding tools.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade mobile applications and platform systems.
  • Architect scalable, stable, and secure mobile frameworks and platforms that support evolving product needs.
  • Drive major architectural improvements, platform modernization, and codebase overhauls.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, development practices, and reusable architectures across the mobile platform.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement AI-assisted coding tools and development workflows to improve engineering productivity and quality. This includes both learning yourself, and facilitating the team as they learn about emerging tools and best practices.

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of mobile engineers.
  • Foster strong engineering culture through Agile development practices, technical excellence, and collaboration.
  • Guide mobile engineers through complex technical decisions and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and career development of engineers.

Delivery & Execution

  • Work closely with other technical teams, product, design, and leadership teams to translate requirements into scalable software solutions.
  • Plan and lead major engineering initiatives including replatforming efforts and large-scale refactors.
  • Ensure engineering work is delivered using modern Agile methodologies.
  • Review and approve architecture, designs, and code to maintain quality and performance standards.

Platform & Solution Development

  • Develop and maintain software specifications, system designs, and technical documentation.
  • Analyze software requirements and propose scalable solutions that integrate with existing systems.
  • Lead development or modification of internal and third-party applications where required.
  • Support testing strategies, system validation, and release readiness.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant mobile development experience.
  • 3+ years managing engineering teams.
  • Deep expertise in mobile development across iOS, Android
  • Experience with KMP, CMP, and React Native is a bonus.
  • Proven experience building or redesigning mobile architectures and frameworks from the ground up.
  • Experience leading large-scale replatforming or codebase overhaul projects.
  • Experience implementing AI-assisted development tools or AI coding workflows within engineering teams.
  • Strong experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge of modern mobile development languages and frameworks.
  • Strong background in object-oriented architecture and scalable system design.
  • Experience developing reusable architectures and shared mobile frameworks.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement new technologies that improve engineering velocity and quality.
  • Strong technical mentorship and people leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical depth with team leadership.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and leadership teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
