We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Manager. The Senior Manager will report to the Senior Director of Accounting and take ownership of various responsibilities within the Tax function with respect to tax compliance and provision. The position will also have exposure to financial accounting responsibilities, including working with various databases to extract reports necessary for the preparation of tax workpapers, filings etc. Individual should exhibit a hands-on approach while being a team player; possessing strong organizational skills and an attention to detail.
What you'll do:
- Coordinate and review the federal, state, and local income tax returns including extensions, estimated tax payments, and related workpapers prepared by external tax providers
- Partner with the international accounting team and local tax providers to manage the global tax calendar and ensure all tax returns and payments are filed accurately and on time
- Prepare tax schedules supporting the worldwide income tax provision under U.S. GAAP and review the tax provision prepared by external tax advisors
- Oversee the US sales and use tax compliance
- Respond to tax notices and provide support with agency examinations
- Prepare and manage personal property tax, business tax license renewals, state/municipal gross receipts tax, GST/HST tax filings, and other indirect tax filings as required for the Company
- Evaluate tax implications of intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and international operations as applicable
- Assist with tax-related M&A integration activities, including direct and indirect tax matters
- Initiate tax planning strategies related to business growth, legal entity structure, state nexus, and transfer pricing
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Operations to support tax analysis, reporting, and compliance requirements
What you'll bring:
- At least 6+ years of relevant experience with Big 4 (or equivalent) and/or large corporate tax department of a multi-national company, with solid experience preparing and reviewing U.S. income tax provisions and statutory reporting requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field required
- CPA license preferred
- Experience in Corporate income tax and strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills
- Exposure to indirect tax compliance and business registrations
- Exposure to international transfer pricing
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as a team member

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $105,900 - $176,500 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
