Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

If you’re passionate about sustainability, join a team of professionals connected and motivated by this common commitment to the environment and a clean energy future. In this role within the energy efficiency department, you will be working with customers to develop and execute retrofit energy efficiency projects. You will make a direct impact as you work to help customers and contractors provide energy efficiency improvements to Eversource’s Connecticut electric and natural gas customers.

As an Energy Efficiency Consultant, you will lead the development, promotion, and implementation of customer engagement in new and existing programs as well as identify existing and new technologies that support energy-saving solutions for customers. Through your regular interactions with external stakeholders, energy efficiency contractors, engineers, and internal teammates from marketing, regulatory compliance and sales, your focus will be on accomplishing energy saving goals which also help to lower the state’s carbon emissions.

This role is uniquely focused on developing and growing participation within an emerging and under-engaged customer segment of mid-size customers. Unlike traditional Energy Efficiency Consultant roles that primarily support established customer sectors, this position will require a proactive and strategic approach to identifying opportunities, understanding customer needs, developing engagement strategies, and creating scalable solutions that drive program participation and energy savings. The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, building new processes, and helping shape the future direction of the program.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase participation among underserved and under-engaged customer segments.
  • Identify barriers to customer adoption of energy efficiency programs and recommend solutions to improve participation and customer experience.
  • Analyze participation trends, market data, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for program growth.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, trade allies, vendors, and internal stakeholders to advance energy efficiency objectives.
  • Pilot and evaluate new outreach, engagement, and implementation approaches to improve program performance for mid-sized customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop scalable processes and best practices for emerging customer segments.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned customer segments and provide recommendations regarding program design, customer engagement strategies, and market opportunities.
  • Provides direction to business partners, such as contracted vendors, and/or technical project expertise to customers and coordinates available resources specific to the procurement and installation of energy efficient measures, strategies, and systems.
  • Responsible for review and approval of moderately complex projects/programs, which require an understanding of engineering analysis/calculations, implementation strategy for new technologies, or energy simulation modeling.
  • Manages the integration of activities between the customer, program administrators, advisory consultants, and vendor/contractors.
  • Develops documents and plans necessary to meet compliance with regulatory filings and oversight of ratepayer funded Energy Efficiency programs.
  • Ensures that all projects and programs are accurate and in compliance with regulatory guidelines - reviews project documentation and program applications to confirm all required and supporting materials is provided to fulfill program participation parameters.
  • Participates in the budgeting, invoicing, evaluation, and tracking of expenses and energy savings; assists with the development of RFP's for contracted services.
  • Facilitates achievement of energy efficiency goals by promoting demand-reduction initiatives to assigned customers/customer segments and/or programs.
  • Partners with Energy Efficiency colleagues across sectors/channels, including Energy Efficiency Sales Account Executives, to set an energy efficiency implementation path and strategy for customer participation and energy efficiency program implementation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
