How You Will Contribute to EveryPay’s Vision
We are looking for an experienced Fraud & Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join our Payment Operations team, strengthening our first line of defense against fraud.
In this role, you will monitor transactions, investigate alerts, and help prevent fraudulent activity across our payment services. You will also contribute to improving monitoring rules, processes, and tools, working closely with internal teams and escalating cases to AML/Compliance where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor transactions across e-commerce, POS/SoftPOS, cards, wallets, and IBAN accounts to identify suspicious activity.
- Assess alerts and investigate potential fraud across card acquiring, wallets, IBAN accounts, and money transfers, including incoming and outgoing SEPA transfers.
- Investigate fraud scenarios such as card testing, suspicious merchant activity, refund abuse, unauthorized transactions, account takeover, fraudulent transfers, and unusual patterns of fund movements.
- Take preventive action within your remit, document findings, and coordinate with relevant internal teams, escalating cases to AML/Compliance where required.
- Contribute to the design, configuration, and evaluation of monitoring rules to improve detection and reduce false positives.
- Analyze fraud patterns, chargebacks, and relevant KPIs, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to processes and tools.
- Contribute to the automation of existing processes using AI tools in line with company policies and data protection requirements.
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience in fraud detection, prevention, and transaction monitoring within a bank, payment institution, electronic money institution (EMI), or fintech company.
- Hands-on experience with fraud monitoring tools, alert management, and transaction investigations.
- A sound understanding of card payments, wallets, and transfers between IBAN accounts, together with the fraud risks associated with each.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with analytics and AI tools.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- A good command of English, both written and spoken.
