The posting

IT MES System Engineer (1-year contract)

Support and enhance Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment, including remote support for overseas factories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, deploy and upgrade MES solutions to improve manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and resolve root causes to minimise downtime.
  • Integrate MES with ERP, SCADA, automation equipment and other IT systems.
  • Maintain databases and develop production reports and dashboards.
  • Manage MES improvement projects with manufacturing, engineering and IT teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation, train users and ensure data integrity and security.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Proven experience in MES development, deployment, integration and support within manufacturing.
  • Strong Python programming skills; Java or C# is an advantage.
  • Strong Oracle database knowledge and experience managing databases.
  • Good problem-solving, communication and project coordination skills.
  • Able to work independently and provide remote support to overseas sites.
