As we continue to invest in modern engineering practices, cloud-native technologies and platform transformation, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who can own complex components, lead technical delivery and help others grow. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact in a collaborative engineering team. You’ll deliver business-critical solutions, influence technical direction and raise standards across quality, automation, reliability and performance. Morley / remote role. What You’ll Be Doing As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll take ownership of complex features and services from design through deployment and ongoing support. You may bring deeper expertise in frontend or backend engineering, while developing broader full-stack capability and leading modern engineering practices across the team.

Lead feature design and technical delivery across the stack, ensuring solutions are scalable, performant and aligned with architectural standards. Write high-quality, maintainable production code and promote simplicity, clarity and complete documentation. Champion advanced design patterns, clean architecture, automated testing and robust coding standards. Own quality and reliability within your area, including security, regulatory and performance considerations. Improve automation, observability, tooling and delivery processes to strengthen reliability and team effectiveness. Collaborate with Product, Delivery, Architecture, Software Engineering and Testing colleagues to shape effective solutions early. Lead technical discussions, influence design decisions and contribute to technical strategy, patterns and standards. Mentor less experienced engineers through code reviews, pair programming, knowledge sharing and design guidance. Stay current with emerging technologies and identify practical opportunities for continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

Significant commercial software engineering experience, with strong depth in frontend or backend development and exposure across the full stack. Expertise in Java and Spring Boot and/or JavaScript & TypeScript Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, clean architecture and scalability principles. Experience delivering robust, production-grade software and complex features or services end to end. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or a comparable cloud environment. A proven track record in Agile delivery and DevOps practices. Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and observability tools. The ability to lead technical conversations and influence engineering and design decisions. Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills. A genuine commitment to mentoring, knowledge sharing and raising standards across a team. A growth mindset and the confidence to drive continuous improvement. A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
