Procurement Specialist/ Buyer (Temp)

The responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist/Buyer encompass but are not restricted to:

- Ensure full implementation and enforcement with the companies supply chain policies, procedures, and compliance standards.

- Engage proactively with internal departments to align procurement strategies with operational priorities that support the company’s business objectives.

- Initiate and support the timely onboarding of vendors in accordance with the companies Vendor Management protocols.

- Execute the local Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process in alignment with corporate and local procedures and operational requirements.

- Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes and conduct vendor negotiations to optimize cost, lead time, quality, and risk exposure.

- Manage the end-to-end purchasing cycle, including creation, issuance, and resolution of purchase orders.

- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), coordinating follow-up actions with vendors and internal stakeholders.

- Ensure accuracy of purchase orders and collaborate with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve invoicing or payment delays.

- Evaluate vendor performance on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and regulatory compliance.

- Monitor the local market to identify, assess, and recommend vendors that support operational and business objectives.

- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to establish and maintain Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and pricing agreements to enable efficient and compliant procurement activities.

- Support the development of local SOPs and work practices to streamline procurement processes and educate internal and external stakeholders on the P2P process, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and compliance requirements.

QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.

- Other relevant certifications in Supply Chain Management and Procurement can be advantageous.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- Strong MS Office skills with Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word.

- Understanding of INCOTERMS.

- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

- Understanding and proficient in negotiation activities.

EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, preferably in Offshore, Oil Service or Marine industry.

- Problem-Solving: Innate ability to identify issues and craft effective solutions quickly.

- Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams, showcasing leadership qualities.

- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

- Interpersonal Skills: Exemplary interpersonal aptitudes, with a talent for building and nurturing relationships at all organizational levels.

- Team Orientation: An inherent team spirit and a deep-rooted customer service orientation, highlighting the ability to work collaboratively and address customer needs.

- Physical and Time Commitment: Willingness and ability to work extended hours, including undertaking physical tasks pertinent to procurement activities.

- Detail-Oriented: Pays meticulous attention to details, ensuring accuracy in all areas.

- Proactivity: Takes the initiative to identify and act on opportunities or address potential issues before they escalate.

- Ethical Conduct: Adheres to the company's code of conduct and ethical guidelines.

- Stress Management: Maintains composure and effectiveness in high-pressure situations.
