Ready to Take the Next Step in Your Sales Career?

Are you currently working in lead generation, sales development or business development and looking for an opportunity to take your career to the next level?

Do you have experience within Aerospace, Defence or Manufacturing and want to move beyond prospecting and appointment setting into a more hands-on, commercially focused sales role?

We're working with a globally recognised leader in industrial lubricants and high-performance products that is launching an exciting new UK growth programme.

As part of the Pathfinder UK initiative, you'll have the opportunity to build on your existing industry knowledge, develop your sales skills and take ownership of new business opportunities across some of the world's most technically demanding industries.

This is an opportunity for someone ambitious, commercially minded and eager to progress — someone who has the foundations of a successful sales career and is ready for their next challenge.

About the Role

This is a new business development opportunity focused on identifying, developing and progressing opportunities across the Aerospace, Defence and Industrial Manufacturing sectors.

You'll be responsible for opening doors with new customers, building relationships with key stakeholders and developing opportunities for high-performance industrial products.

You'll take ownership of opportunities from initial prospecting and engagement through to product evaluation and trials, working closely with experienced sales, technical and distributor teams.

You don't need to have years of experience closing complex industrial sales deals. We're looking for someone with the right foundations, a strong understanding of the industry and the ambition to develop into a more established sales professional.

If you've spent the last few years generating leads, booking meetings or supporting business development activity and are ready to take greater ownership of the sales process, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

Requirements

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across Aerospace, Defence and Manufacturing.
  • Building relationships with new customers and key decision-makers.
  • Proactively prospecting and engaging potential customers.
  • Understanding customer requirements, applications and technical needs.
  • Developing opportunities and progressing them through the sales cycle.
  • Coordinating product evaluations and trials with customers.
  • Working alongside experienced sales and technical teams to develop commercial opportunities.
  • Taking ownership of your pipeline and contributing to the growth of a new UK programme.

What We're Looking For

  • We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
  • Experience within or selling into Aerospace, Defence or Manufacturing.
  • A background in lead generation, sales development, business development or new business sales.
  • Experience prospecting, engaging customers and generating commercial opportunities.
  • A genuine desire to move beyond lead generation and develop their sales career.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach.
  • The confidence to engage with technical and commercial stakeholders.

Experience within industrial lubricants, engineering, maintenance, applications engineering or a related technical environment would be beneficial.

You don't need to be an established senior salesperson. What matters is your industry knowledge, sales foundations and ambition to take the next

Benefits

  • 21 Annual leave days in year 1, rising to 25 days (plus bank holidays)
  • Additional Day's Leave for your Birthday
  • Ongoing expert training and support
  • External training allowance (monthly)
  • Opportunity for advancement
  • Employee Assistance Programme (Mental Health wellbeing)
  • Daily team meetings
  • Company Sick Pay
  • Great fun, team environment
  • Remote working optional

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
