What You'll Do:
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess autobody and mechanical repairs needed.
- Prepare repair estimates using industry-standard tools and software.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters, service advisors, and repair technicians to accurately determine repair scope and costs.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to identify underlying issues that may impact vehicle safety or performance.
- Provide clear recommendations for vehicle repairs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of assessments, estimates, and negotiations.
- Support collision center operations by ensuring appraisal processes align with company standards, policies, and industry best practices.
Keys to Success:
- Experience with DRP appointment scheduling is a plus.
- Experience in auto estimating, auto body repair, or automotive repair with a strong understanding of vehicle structures and systems.
- Ability to manage customer expectations and navigate insurance claims processes.
- Strong analytical and mechanical aptitude to accurately evaluate vehicle damage.
- Familiarity with insurance underwriting principles is a plus.
- Experience with vehicle restoration projects or collision center operations is desirable.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, repair procedures, and industry standards.
