Job Description
RH is seeking a Director, Corporate Safety & Security to foster a safe and secure environment for our people across every facet of the organization. This leader will serve as the central point of contact for safety and security matters, addressing incidents with a strategic and solutions-oriented approach. Partnering with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams, the Director, Corporate Safety & Security will build and lead a comprehensive, integrated safety and security strategy. This role is grounded in service, educating and empowering our Team Members to prioritize safety and security at every level.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Own and lead RH’s global Safety and Security strategy, including policy development, compliance initiatives and program implementation to protect organizational assets and people.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the organization on all safety and security-related incidents.
- Assess risks proactively to anticipate and address the needs of the organization and Leadership Team.
- Build and maintain a network of cross-functional internal partnerships and external relationships, holding vendors accountable for exceptional service.
- Lead the investigation and reporting of workplace violence incidents and criminal activity to Leadership.
- Serve as the primary liaison with local security, law enforcement and external agencies to foster collaboration and ensure coordinated support.
- Conduct comprehensive security audits to identify vulnerabilities, ensure compliance and strengthen overall safety and operational performance, presenting insights and recommendations to Executive Leadership.
- Coordinate event security plans, aligning internal stakeholders, external vendors and law enforcement partners, and provide on-site oversight during events to ensure safety and compliance.
- Direct executive and employee protection programs, including oversight of contract security guard services.
- Oversee physical security technology and systems, including armed and unarmed security operations.
- Foster a culture of safety and security awareness through clear communication, comprehensive training and active engagement across the organization.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years of leadership experience in security and risk management, with a background in law enforcement, military or industries such as retail, hospitality or restaurants.
- Experience within a global organization is preferred.
- Knowledge and practical experience with physical security technology and systems, including armed and unarmed security operations.
- Experience overseeing contract security guard services and executive and employee protection programs.
- Professional designation in security management such as ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) is preferred.
- Proven success building trusted relationships with law enforcement, external agencies and cross-functional partners.
- Strong judgment and composure when leading incident response and crisis situations.
- Sophisticated communication skills and a polished, executive-facing presence.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Regular on-site presence at RH's Home Office in Corte Madera, California.
- Valid driver's license and passport required to support domestic and international travel.
- Flexible availability to support a global organization operating 24/7, including timely response across time zones during incidents or events.
