An exciting opportunity awaits a Licensed Optician to join a high-end, patient-focused private practice in New York City (Manhattan area)! Full-time and part-time positions available.

Compensation:

  • Licensed Optician: $25–$40 per hour
  • Commission: 3% of sales (average $1,500+ per month; some earn double!)

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and fill eyewear and contact lens prescriptions with precision and care
  • Guide patients through frame and lens selection, ensuring style and function
  • Perform fittings, adjustments, and troubleshooting for eyewear
  • Deliver an outstanding luxury sales and client experience
  • Build and manage a personal book of business
  • Maintain inventory, display, and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver seamless, top-tier patient care

What Makes a Great Candidate?

  • NY Optician Licensure
  • Previous optical or luxury retail sales experience strongly preferred
  • Strong sales and client service skills; self-driven and dependable
  • Ability to build relationships and manage a book of business
  • Excellent troubleshooting and eyewear adjustment abilities
  • Professionalism, reliability, and a passion for the optical field
