Training and Certification:

Train and certify welding personnel to ensure they meet required qualifications. Provide technical guidance and support to welders and production staff on proper welding techniques and safety practices.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve welding efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality. Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize welding operations. Monitor and analyze weld performance data to drive process improvements.

Collaboration:

Work closely with design and manufacturing engineers to address welding requirements during the design phase. Partner with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality welding materials and equipment.

Safety:

Promote and enforce adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements in welding operations. Conduct risk assessments for welding processes and implement mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Welding Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience with certifications may be considered.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in welding engineering or a related role, preferably in a federal equipment or regulated industry. Experience with advanced welding techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, robotic welding).

Certifications:

Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred. Familiarity with AWS, ASME, and MIL-STD standards.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and metallurgy. Proficiency in CAD software and welding simulation tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Other Requirements:

Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required by federal regulations. Familiarity with ITAR and EAR compliance.

Physical Demands:

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and lifting up to [weight limit] as needed. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required during welding operations.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing facility with exposure to welding fumes, heat, and noise. Flexible to work different shifts or overtime as production demands.

This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency, compliance, and quality of welding operations for our federal equipment. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for welding engineering, we encourage you to apply.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
