Fanatics Commerce is the global leader in licensed sports merchandise, operating a vertically integrated platform that designs, manufactures, and delivers officially licensed apparel, jerseys, headwear, and collectibles for major leagues, teams, and events worldwide. With more than 900 e-commerce sites and a global omnichannel presence across digital, in-venue, and retail, Fanatics Commerce reaches fans in over 180 countries and powers official fan experiences for many of the world's most iconic sports properties.

At Fanatics, we bring our BOLD Leadership Principles to life every day - building championship teams, obsessing over fans, acting with entrepreneurial speed, and delivering with a determined and relentless mindset.

As we continue to scale our global platform, the Software Engineer III will play a critical role in designing and delivering scalable warehouse management and fulfillment systems across Fanatics' global fulfillment and wholesale network.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Software Engineer III is a senior individual contributor embedded across multiple concurrent fulfillment and supply chain workstreams, partnering closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to solve complex warehouse execution challenges. This role owns end-to-end technical delivery — from system design and configuration through to production-grade reliability — across Fanatics' warehouse management platforms, including hands-on expertise with Tier 1 WMS solutions such as Manhattan Active. The Software Engineer III delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

HOW WILL YOU DRIVE IMPACT

Success is measured by the ability to deliver results through BOLD capabilities and measurable outcomes.

Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)

  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, product, and engineering teams to translate complex supply chain business needs into well-architected technical solutions.
  • Actively raise the technical bar across the team by championing software design best practices, contributing to architecture decisions, and mentoring peers through code review and shared standards.
  • Serve as a reliable delivery partner across concurrent workstreams, aligning with stakeholders to maintain clarity on priorities, progress, and risk.

Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)

  • Ensure fulfillment systems operate with the speed, accuracy, and reliability that directly enables on-time delivery and a seamless experience for Fanatics customers and fans.
  • Design and configure high-performance, real-time warehouse execution solutions — covering fulfillment flows, inventory management, and material handling automation — that minimize disruption and maximize throughput.
  • Lead root cause investigations on complex inventory flow issues, implementing permanent fixes that protect order accuracy and fulfillment quality at scale.
  • Continuously optimize warehouse processes in partnership with operations teams, reducing friction and improving outcomes for end customers.

Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit)

  • Build and evolve orchestration solutions for fulfillment workflows using event-driven architectures, microservices, and APIs that enable seamless, scalable warehouse execution.
  • Explore and evaluate emerging technologies — including workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal — to modernize fulfillment system capabilities.
  • Drive integration of warehouse automation systems (WES, WCS, WMS) to unlock new levels of operational efficiency and warehouse intelligence.
  • Apply rigorous engineering judgment to identify systemic issues, design durable solutions, and continuously improve system resilience and performance.

Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset)

  • Take end-to-end ownership of software design, configuration, and delivery across multiple warehouse management and fulfillment workstreams, ensuring quality and reliability at every stage.
  • Operate with a bias toward action in Agile/Scrum environments, maintaining delivery momentum across complex, multi-team projects.
  • Proactively identify technical debt, architectural gaps, and process inefficiencies — and drive resolution without waiting to be asked.
  • Hold a high bar for production-grade quality, applying disciplined testing, monitoring, and incident response practices across all owned systems.

AI & DIGITAL CAPABILITY

We are building a future-ready organization. This role is expected to:

  • Apply AI and technology to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes
  • Use data and digital tools to inform decisions and enhance performance
  • Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in adopting new technologies and ways of working
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of software development experience in supply chain, fulfillment, or warehouse execution systems, with demonstrated ability to own and deliver complex technical workstreams end to end.
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience with a Tier 1 WMS platform, such as Manhattan Active, including system configuration and integration work in production environments.
  • Proficiency in one or more advanced programming languages — Java, C#, GoLang, C++, or similar — with demonstrable experience building scalable RESTful services and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, or similar), including data modelling and efficient query design.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of event-driven architectures, microservices design, and API development patterns as applied to warehouse or fulfillment systems.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments, with the ability to manage concurrent priorities across multiple projects and stakeholder groups.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Manhattan Open Systems.
  • Familiarity with Temporal or similar workflow and orchestration platforms.
  • Experience with warehouse automation systems, including WES, WCS, or WMS integrations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
