The posting

THE POSITION Our roster has an opening with your name on it

We are always looking for exceptional Product Designers to join the FanDuel Sportsbook product organization. Rather than hire against a single opening, we keep this role open on a rolling basis so we can meet and bring on outstanding design talent as we find it. We hire across four levels: Product Designer, Senior Product Designer, Lead Product Designer, and Principal UI Designer —and place each person where they will have the greatest impact.

This role sits on our Sportsbook Product Design team - the designers who own everything at the intersection of the FanDuel Sportsbook app and the customers who use it. You'll partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Analytics, and other design disciplines to understand what customers need, define what success looks like, and deliver thoughtful, customer-centered design from discovery through launch and optimization. You won't be tied to a single domain or problem space on day one; as we get to know you, we'll align you to the biggest opportunities on the team and explore the right fit together through the interview process.

Because this role spans levels, we calibrate the right level and compensation at offer - based on the scope, impact, and craft excellence you've demonstrated - and we'll be transparent about the level we're considering you for early on.

Not sure which level fits you best? Apply anyway, and we'll figure it out together.

As a Product Designer, excellence is execution-driven. You own design end to end - translating strategy into thoughtful design solutions and driving delivery across a set of related capabilities. You make sharp prioritization calls, keep your work moving with clarity, apply strong craft judgment, and your impact shows up in the quality and momentum of what you ship.

As a Senior Product Designer, the work broadens from executing a plan to shaping one. You stay close to delivery, but you set the direction for a meaningful part of the Sportsbook experience, frame ambiguous problems clearly, tie your team's work to business outcomes, and begin to lift the people around you - mentoring other designers and raising the bar on how the team operates.

As a Lead Product Designer, excellence becomes strategic and includes cross-team leadership. You set direction across multiple areas of the customer experience, own a broad slice of the Sportsbook product, and are accountable for outcomes well beyond your own hands-on work. You elevate the work of others - you improve design practices, influence product strategy, and help teams consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN Everyone on our team has a part to play

Design Execution & Delivery

  • Own the delivery of design outcomes - from problem framing through prototyping, implementation support, launch, and post-launch iteration - for your area of the product.
  • Create intuitive user flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, interaction details, and implementation documentation.
  • Explore multiple directions and make clear recommendations based on evidence, customer insight, trade-offs, and product impact.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system by identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and designing scalable components or patterns when appropriate.

Discovery & Customer Insight

  • Represent the voice of the customer through research, user feedback, analytics, and competitive analysis.
  • Lead discovery and experimentation - usability testing, A/B tests, and design explorations - to de-risk initiatives and refine solutions.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and validate hypotheses.

Strategy & Outcomes

  • Define clear product direction and success metrics, connecting your work to team and business priorities.
  • Track and report objectively on design impact and outcomes, and recommend pivots grounded in evidence.

Collaboration & Systems Thinking

  • Partner proactively with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Analytics, and other design disciplines to define goals, evaluate trade-offs, and align on direction.
  • Facilitate workshops, design critiques, and stakeholder conversations that drive clarity and alignment.
  • Build and maintain domain expertise on the product, market, and competitive landscape.
  • Apply AI-assisted workflows thoughtfully across discovery, ideation, prototyping, synthesis, and documentation, and independently evaluate outputs for accuracy, usability, accessibility, design-system fit, and product relevance.

THE STATS What we're looking for in our next teammate

What you bring

  • A track record of shipping thoughtful, customer-centered products.
  • Strong craft skills across interaction design, visual design, systems thinking, prototyping, and accessibility.
  • Hands-on fluency with modern design practices, design thinking, and evidence-based decision making.
  • Strong analytical skills - comfortable using research, analytics, and feedback to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Deep customer empathy and a commitment to accessibility and inclusive design.
  • A strong sense of ownership, a bias toward execution, and comfort operating in ambiguity.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in product design or a closely related role to start.
  • The scope you own, the strategic influence you carry, and the craft leadership we look for grow with the level you're hired into.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in sports betting, iGaming, or another fast-moving, regulated consumer technology domain.
  • Familiarity with front-end development concepts (React Native, JavaScript, component-based UI) to support stronger engineering collaboration.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
