The posting

Fanvue is one of the fastest-growing creator monetisation platforms globally. We're an AI-powered, creator-first platform helping creators connect, engage, and earn directly from their audiences at scale. Following our recent Series A, Fanvue has surpassed $200M+ in annual recurring revenue, with triple-digit year-on-year growth, supporting hundreds of thousands of creators and millions of fans worldwide.

We're hiring a Staff Software Engineer who thinks like a product owner and builds like a senior engineer. This is a role for someone who has shipped product that millions of people use, owned features from the first sketch to the metrics review, and knows when to move fast and when to build for the long run. You'll work across the stack, shape what we build as much as how we build it, and set the bar for product engineering at Fanvue. AI is transforming how we build software and what our product can do, and you'll be at the centre of both.

💰 £150,000

📍 Salary based on London. Other locations may vary.

🎯 The Role

You'll own product areas end to end, working directly with product, design and data to decide what to build, then shipping it to creators and fans at speed. Our stack is TypeScript, React, Node.js and PostgreSQL on AWS. You'll lead the technical direction for major product bets, build AI-powered features that change how creators run their business, and make sure the platform underneath them scales as we grow. Beyond shipping, you'll be a bar raiser and mentor, and your presence will make every engineer around you more product-minded.

🚀 What You'll Do

- Own major product areas end to end, from discovery and scoping through to launch, iteration and measuring impact

- Partner with product managers and designers to shape the roadmap, challenge assumptions and find the simplest path to value

- Build full-stack features in TypeScript, React and Node.js, designing the APIs and data models behind them

- Ship AI-powered product experiences for creators and fans, including automated chat, content tools, moderation and recommendations

- Run experiments, read the data and use what you learn to decide what to build next

- Make pragmatic architecture calls that let us ship fast today without boxing us in tomorrow

- Build reusable product primitives and patterns that help other teams ship faster

- Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate delivery and help define team standards

- Mentor engineers across the organisation through code reviews, design sessions and pairing, with a focus on product thinking

- Talk to creators, review support feedback and stay close to the people using what you build

- Participate in incident response and own the quality and reliability of your product areas

👀 Who You Are

- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a strong track record of shipping user-facing product

- Proven impact on products used by millions, with clear examples of features you owned and the results they drove

- Deep expertise in TypeScript, React and Node.js, with solid experience across APIs, PostgreSQL and AWS

- Strong product sense: you know what good looks like for users and can argue for it

- Comfortable with ambiguity, turning a loose problem into a shipped solution without waiting for a perfect spec

- Experience building with LLM APIs and AI-powered features in production

- Fluent with AI-assisted development tools and keen to help teams adopt them effectively

- A natural mentor who elevates other engineers through example, not authority

- Strong communicator who can work as easily with designers and commercial teams as with engineers

✨ You'll Thrive Here If

- You care about the outcome for users, not just the quality of the code

- You want to see your work in front of creators and fans within days, not quarters

- You enjoy owning a problem end to end and being accountable for the result

- You are motivated by mentoring and raising the product bar for teams

- You are excited about building AI-native product experiences

⚠️ You'll Struggle Here If

- You prefer management or strategy over hands-on engineering

- You want detailed specs handed to you rather than helping shape them

- You are not comfortable owning the quality and reliability of what you ship

- You see mentoring as outside your job description

- You are resistant to AI tools changing how engineering works

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
