THE ROLE

We are looking for an International Tax Manager to oversee corporate tax compliance in the Netherlands, the UK and the US, and lead a team of associates across international compliance, tax payments and tax reporting. The role ensures that compliance and reporting outputs are accurate and timely, and flags where positions may affect the group's Pillar Two calculations. It suits a hands-on, numerate tax professional who is comfortable with technical tax analysis and with financial statements, ledgers and calculations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own Dutch corporate income tax compliance for the Netherlands entities: return preparation and review, provisional assessments, payments and correspondence with the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst).
  • Review and monitor UK corporate tax compliance (CT600 returns, quarterly instalment payments), working with UK tax team and local finance and external advisors.
  • Review and monitor US federal and state corporate income tax compliance (including Form 1120 filings and estimated payments), working with US tax team and external advisors.
  • Track legislative developments in the Netherlands, UK and US and assess their impact on the group.
  • Work with external advisors on technical matters.
  • Lead the group's international corporate tax compliance calendar for the referred jurisdictions: returns, payments on account and instalments across jurisdictions.
  • Ensure all tax payments are calculated correctly, approved and paid on time, with clear reconciliation to the general ledger.
  • Coordinate with local finance teams and external providers to ensure deadlines are met and positions are documented.
  • Flag the potential Pillar Two impact of compliance and reporting positions and provide the relevant data to the group's Pillar Two process.
  • Monitor other OECD tax reporting obligations across countries
  • Support on the current and deferred tax calculations for group and statutory reporting (IAS 12 / ASC 740 as applicable), including effective tax rate analysis and tax account reconciliations for the referred countries, working alongside the Group Tax Reporting Manager.
  • Support Country-by-Country Reporting and other tax disclosures prepared by the Transfer Pricing Team
  • Provide clear tax inputs to month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, on relevant jurisdictions to the Group Tax Reporting Manager.
  • Lead, coach and review the work of a team of Tax Associates; set priorities, allocate work and maintain quality standards.
  • Build and maintain robust processes, controls and documentation across compliance and reporting.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Degree in Tax, Economics, Accounting or Finance;
  • Solid experience in Dutch corporate income tax, ideally gained in a Big Four firm and/or a multinational in-house tax team.
  • Previous experience or contact with UK and/or US corporate tax compliance (strong advantage).
  • Previous experience with Pillar Two / GloBE rules and their interaction with financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to read and analyse financial statements and accounting information (trial balances, ledgers, reconciliations) and translate them into tax computations.
  • Experience with US GAAP tax provisioning (ASC 740).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and financial accounting tools (e.g. SAP, Microsoft365).
  • Experience in tax compliance, tax payments and tax reporting in an international group, including reviewing work prepared by teams or external providers across several jurisdictions.
  • Fluent, professional-level English (written and spoken) – essential.
  • Experience leading or supervising team members.
  • Analytical and numerate, with strong attention to the link between accounting data and tax outcomes.
  • Organised and deadline-driven, comfortable owning a multi-jurisdiction compliance calendar.
  • Pragmatic and solution-oriented; able to work in a fast-paced environment and close topics.
  • A clear communicator who can explain tax matters
  • A people leader who develops the team and raises the bar on quality.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
