Position Summary: The College of Business at Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Operations Assistant in Boca Raton, FL. The Operations Assistant supports the daily operations of the Boca Schmidt Family Complex and Executive Education programs by providing facility, event, and customer service support to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This position works closely with the Building Manager to help maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment while coordinating operational activities, facility needs, and program logistics in a fast-paced setting. Essential Duties: Support the daily operations of the Boca Schmidt Family Complex, serving as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and guests. Assist with Executive Education programs and events, including orientations, graduations, evening classes, and other special activities; coordinate event setup, breakdown, catering, and logistics. Conduct routine facility inspections to ensure classrooms, offices, common areas, and entrances are clean, secure, and operating effectively; report and follow up on maintenance and safety concerns. Assist the Building Manager with facility maintenance, repairs, security coordination, inventory management, purchase orders, and vendor or contractor communications. Manage incoming deliveries, maintain operational records and documentation, and support administrative functions related to building operations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, troubleshooting facility-related issues, and ensuring concerns are communicated through the appropriate channels. Primarily support operations on the Boca Raton campus, with occasional travel to and support of Executive Education activities and facilities on the Davie and Fort Lauderdale campuses. A high level of professionalism and dependability is required. Be personable while at the same time maintaining a high level of professionalism. Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written skills; Requires flexibility, willingness to work side by side with students, and the ability to work in a high-demand, high-pace environment. Possess leadership and teamwork skills to effectively work with department and University personnel to achieve the goals of the department. Salary: $19.16 to $21.55 per hour. College or Department: COB: Executive Degree Programs Location: Boca Raton Work Days and Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM -5:00 PM. Some nights and weekends as needed.
