The posting
Hi, I'm Maria https://www.linkedin.com/in/maria-uglvig-419a90a2/, Interim VP Product at FeedbackFruits. 👋
FeedbackFruits is moving from a founder-led company to a product-led one, which means Product is taking on a much bigger role in deciding what we build and why. Before stepping into this role I worked as a PM here myself, with the squads and within the details, so I know how much depends on the PMs who work with those squads every day. I'm building a team of PMs who care about the craft: who do the discovery before committing to a build, make clear calls about priorities, and follow their work through to how teachers end up using it.
I'm looking for a Product Manager to lead one of our squads and own how teachers go from setting up their first activity to making FeedbackFruits part of how they teach every week. That means helping instructors see which students are stuck while there's still time to step in, making grading faster and less painful, and making it easy for a great activity to travel from one teacher to the next across an institution. You'll decide what the squad works on and why, and you'll have the room to set that direction yourself.
The EdTech market is tough right now, so every product decision has to earn its place. I like working this way, because a PM with sharp judgment sees their impact fast. You’ll also help shape how product works here as we raise the bar together: how we find the right problems, make calls and bring people along, and what great looks like for the PMs who join after you.
What you'll do:
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for your squad, and keep its work tied to what matters most to us right now: teachers getting value from FeedbackFruits early and coming back for more
- Run discovery with teachers, institutions and partners, dig into the data, and frame each problem clearly before anyone starts designing a solution
- Make the prioritisation calls, including the "not now"s, and explain them with enough context that people follow your reasoning even when they'd have chosen differently
- Work side by side with engineers on technical approach and feasibility, and with designers on critiques and validating solutions with users
- Write specs and acceptance criteria clear enough that the squad can move without waiting on you, then review what gets built and keep iterating
- Define MVPs that get something useful into teachers' hands quickly, and after launch, look at the results and decide whether to scale it, rework it or retire it
- Keep Sales, Partner Success and leadership aligned by documenting decisions, presenting strategy and progress, and keeping the roadmap visible
- Help the squad see how its work lands with teachers and students, and make time to celebrate the wins
What you bring:
- You have 3+ years of product management experience, and you've shipped B2B SaaS features that measurably changed how people use a product
- You spot opportunities before anyone asks for them, and you'd rather spend an extra day understanding a problem than a month building the wrong solution
- You can say "no" to a request and keep the relationship intact, because you back your reasoning with data and strategy
- You write and speak with the kind of clarity that saves everyone a follow-up meeting. Your expectations are set before the work starts, and your feedback is direct
- You understand how products are built technically, well enough to have a proper conversation with engineers about trade-offs. A technical or design background helps a lot here
- You think big and ship small, and you know when to fight for quality and when "good enough for now" is the right call
- You ask for feedback, take it without getting defensive, and change course when the evidence points somewhere new
- You already use AI tools in your day-to-day work for research synthesis, analysis and documentation, and you're curious about where they can take the craft next
- Experience in edtech, with LMS platforms like Canvas, Brightspace, Moodle or Blackboard, or with integrations and APIs gives you a head start
- Available 40 hours per week, with 3 days a week from our Amsterdam office
What you get:
- 25 paid holidays per year
- Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite)

- Advantageous pension scheme

- €550 Learning & Development budget per year + 3 days paid leave for learning
