  • Prepare and verify interim payment applications, progress valuations and measurements of completed construction work for payment purposes.
  • Identify, measure and evaluate variations, additional work and contractual claims, ensuring proper documentation, substantiation and approval.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, compare prices, support procurement activities and monitor subcontractor payments and costs.
  • Maintain accurate cost records and prepare financial, commercial and progress reports for project management.
  • Assist in preparing and agreeing on final accounts, ensuring that all costs, variations and payments are properly reconciled.
  • Review contractual documents and ensure compliance with contract terms, project specifications and documentation requirements.

  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to improve project cost efficiency.

Candidate Profile

  • A BSc in Quantity Surveying from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification.

  • Good understanding of quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, cost control, interim valuations and final account preparation.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, drawings, specifications and associated measurement practices will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of construction contracts, variations, claims, subcontract administration and payment procedures.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant quantity surveying or cost management software.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
