Job Description:

Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor

Location: Heathrow Airport

Reporting to: Project Senior HSW advisor

The project

Ferrovial Construction has been working at Heathrow Airport for over 15 years delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects to high quality, safety and environmental standards. We have focused on design and build projects with a mix of contractual arrangements. This has enabled us to refine our management procedures in response to Heathrow’s Employers Requirements and Ferrovial Construction own internal management systems.

Since joining Heathrow’s framework, Ferrovial Construction has delivered a variety of airside and landside projects across the whole airport. For example, we have delivered new taxiways and rehabilitated existing taxiways and the southern runway. We have also redeveloped sterile and grass areas and replaced critical assets, such as fire main, fuel main and HV ducts. We are currently working alongside Heathrow to rehabilitate assets whose design life has expired and on the planning of a runway resurfacing project.

We are constantly designing and planning our works around critical assets and engaging with different key stakeholders in order to deliver Heathrow value for money.

  • Contribute to formal HSW reviews and support the monitoring and close-out of resulting actions.
  • Liaise and build effective working relationships with employees, project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders on HSW matters.
  • Participate in and support HSW training, leadership and engagement initiatives to promote consistent standards and best practice.
  • Work collaboratively with the central HSW Team to identify operational risks, improvement opportunities and emerging HSW issues.
  • Support and undertake accident and incident investigations, gathering and analysing evidence to identify immediate and root causes and support appropriate corrective actions.
  • Promote company values in all interactions with employees, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other external stakeholders.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. NEBOSH General and/or Construction Certificate may also be considered.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
