The posting

Ferryhopper is an equal opportunity employer that welcomes diversity and is committed to inclusion in the workplace. We do not accept discrimination and harassment of any kind. This policy applies to all employment practices within our company.

The Company

Ferryhopper is revolutionising online ferry booking, aiming to change the way people travel by ferry. We are collaborating with more than 360 ferry companies across 63 countries, bringing a fresh and seamless ferry booking experience. We always strive to cater to the needs of all travellers and keep improving our services.

If you want to know more about the team, read about Ferryhopper in a nutshell.

The role

We're hiring a Product Manager to own either our Web or our App product. We run one hiring process for both, and decide together with you which team fits best.

Our web and app products have grown much closer: they share booking flows, backend services, design patterns and goals. Whichever team you join, you'll think about Ferryhopper as one product that travellers use across devices, and you'll work closely with the other PM to keep the experience consistent.

The way people search, plan and book travel is also changing. Travellers now ask AI assistants for itineraries, expect conversational and personalised experiences, and arrive at our product with a very different context than a few years ago. We're looking for someone who is curious about these shifts, turns them into concrete product opportunities, and uses AI tools in their own day-to-day work to discover, prototype and ship faster.

You'll lead the full life-cycle of features, from discovery to launch and iteration, and own the roadmap for your product area. Product strategy will be shared between you and the Product Lead, who oversees both Web and App. You'll care about product quality, back decisions with data, turn vague ideas into clear specifications, and facilitate the development team to ship the work. Writing excellent specifications is at the heart of the role: your specs are what your team builds from.

Your Team

You'll lead a small, autonomous product team with several developers and a tech lead, working closely with our designers. The tech lead owns technical direction and delivery quality; you own the what and the why, and you shape the how together.

You'll report to our Product Lead, who has the overview of both products. The Product Lead sets the overall product direction with you and the other PMs, and helps balance priorities across Web and App.

Beyond your team, the role is cross-functional by nature. You'll work with:

  • The other product teams (Web, App, Core), to align roadmaps and keep the cross-platform experience consistent;
  • Design, on user research, flows and usability;
  • Marketing and Growth, on acquisition, SEO and conversion;
  • Customer care and operations, to understand where travellers struggle;

Requirements

  • Own the roadmap for your product (Web or App), and shape the shared product strategy with the Product Lead and the other PMs;
  • Discover customer needs through research, user feedback, data and conversations with customer care;
  • Spot where AI changes traveller behaviour and expectations, and turn those shifts into product bets worth testing;
  • Develop a deep, end-to-end mastery of Ferryhopper’s business logic and traveller needs, taking full ownership of the feasibility and the usability of the product;
  • Break complex problems into small, testable increments, define the MVP of each feature and prioritise ruthlessly;
  • Write detailed, unambiguous specifications (user stories, flows, edge cases, acceptance criteria, tracking events and links to designs) so your tech lead and developers can build without guesswork, and keep them up to date as decisions change;
  • Run the team's agile rituals together with the tech lead (planning, refinement, reviews, retros);
  • Use AI as a core part of how you work, to investigate problems, analyse data, prototype solutions, write better specifications, and automate repetitive work;
  • Partner with the other PM to keep shared flows, design patterns and metrics consistent across web and app;
  • Ensure the quality of what you release, and measure adoption and impact after launch;
  • Keep improving shipped features based on what the data and users tell you.

Nice to have

  • Experience with both web and native mobile products, or with products that span both;
  • Experience shipping AI-powered features (e.g. conversational search, recommendations, LLM-based assistance);
  • Prior experience in travel, marketplaces or e-commerce;
  • Studies in engineering, computer science, digital product management or product design;
  • A love of travelling (bonus points if it involves ferries).

Hiring process note

  • You apply once, and we decide on Web or App together near the end of the process. You don't need to pick a side when you apply
  • We'll match you to a team based on your experience, your interests, and where you'll have the most impact. Strong mobile experience may point to App; a background in web, SEO-driven acquisition or conversion may point to Web. Many great candidates could thrive in either, and that's fine. If you have a preference, tell us early and we'll take it into account
  • The annual salary range for this position is 50.000 - 57.000 gross, under Greek Labour Law

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
