The posting

About the Role:

As Fetch continues to scale across its consumer and partner businesses, one of our greatest advantages is our ability to understand people, markets, and culture through a combination of proprietary data and external intelligence. The Senior Director, Marketing Intelligence will lead the function responsible for turning that understanding into a durable competitive advantage for Fetch.

This leader will set the vision, strategy, and operating model for Marketing Intelligence, connecting audience research, segmentation, voice of consumer, proprietary behavioral data, third-party research, and social and cultural intelligence. Working across Brand, Consumer Marketing, Product Marketing, Growth, B2B Marketing, and The Rewards Lab, this role will help determine who we should reach, where opportunities exist, what messages will resonate, and how intelligence should shape marketing strategy and investment.

This is more than a traditional research role. The Senior Director will build a strategic intelligence capability that anticipates emerging opportunities, challenges assumptions, and translates complex data into actionable recommendations. They will establish the team, tools, partnerships, and systems that embed intelligence into how Marketing plans, prioritizes, and makes decisions.

This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States.

Role Responsibilities:

Marketing Intelligence Strategy & Audience Understanding Set the multi-year vision and strategy for Marketing Intelligence, defining how the capability evolves to support Fetch's consumer, partner, and broader business priorities. Establish a shared framework for understanding Fetch's audiences, including segmentation, personas, voice of consumer, behavioral intelligence, market sizing, and emerging audience opportunities. Direct the integration of proprietary first-party behavioral data, third-party research, qualitative insights, social intelligence, and cultural and competitive signals to develop a differentiated understanding of consumers and markets. Build a comprehensive understanding of current, prospective, and expansion audiences, identifying their motivations, needs, perceptions, behaviors, and opportunities for Fetch. Proactively identify emerging consumer behaviors, cultural shifts, market dynamics, and competitive opportunities, distinguishing meaningful long-term trends from short-term signals. Determine the research methodologies, data sources, technology, AI-enabled tools, and external partnerships needed to support Marketing's evolving intelligence needs.

Strategic Marketing Intelligence & Data Storytelling Serve as a strategic advisor to senior Marketing and cross-functional leaders, translating intelligence into recommendations that shape audience prioritization, positioning, campaign strategy, growth initiatives, and marketing investment. Partner across Brand, Consumer Marketing, Product Marketing, Growth, B2B Marketing, and The Rewards Lab to embed audience and market intelligence into strategic planning, creative briefs, seasonal initiatives, and go-to-market decisions. Establish Fetch's proprietary behavioral data as a differentiated intelligence asset, uncovering human truths, consumer trends, and market opportunities that strengthen marketing strategy and storytelling. Develop compelling insight platforms, audience narratives, and evidence-based recommendations that inform consumer campaigns, product marketing, growth strategies, and partner-facing initiatives. Identify emerging audience, category, and market opportunities, partnering with B2B Marketing to provide the intelligence that fuels vertical strategies, Fetch Finds, thought leadership, and partner-facing programs. Advise leadership on strategic trade-offs across audiences, markets, initiatives, and investments, clearly articulating opportunities, risks, and the business implications of different choices. Anticipate strategic questions the organization is not yet asking and proactively surface intelligence that could meaningfully influence Fetch's direction.

Organizational & Functional Leadership Design and scale the Marketing Intelligence function, establishing the organizational structure, capabilities, priorities, and accountability needed to support Fetch's long-term growth. Build and develop a high-performing team, beginning with Social Intelligence and expanding capabilities across audience research, consumer insights, market intelligence, and related disciplines as business needs evolve. Establish clear collaboration models with UXR, Analytics, and other research and data teams, integrating existing expertise without duplicating functional ownership. Determine resource allocation across internal talent, external research partners, syndicated data, technology, and AI-enabled capabilities based on business value and strategic importance. Build repeatable frameworks, operating rhythms, and decision-making mechanisms that make intelligence a consistent input into Marketing planning and execution. Develop senior talent and future leaders, creating clear ownership, accountability, and the ability for the function to scale beyond individual execution. Establish measures of success that demonstrate how Marketing Intelligence influences decisions, improves investment quality, and creates measurable business value.

What Success Looks Like: Marketing Intelligence becomes a trusted strategic capability that materially influences decisions across Brand Experience and Growth. Fetch establishes a differentiated, continually evolving understanding of its audiences, consumers, markets, competitors, and cultural environment. Proprietary behavioral data and external intelligence fuel stronger consumer marketing, product positioning, and partner-facing narratives. Intelligence meaningfully influences audience priorities, positioning, campaign direction, investment decisions, and emerging growth opportunities. The organization proactively identifies market and cultural shifts early enough for Fetch to act on meaningful opportunities and risks. Marketing Intelligence scales through strong leadership, repeatable systems, clear accountability, and effective cross-functional partnerships.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
