ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Risk Advisory Associate supports the delivery and administration of insurance and risk-management solutions within Strategic Client Advisory Solutions. The role provides case-management, policy-administration and analytical support to the Director and Senior Risk Advisory Consultant, helping move client needs from wealth strategy assessment through application, underwriting, policy delivery and ongoing service. The Associate coordinates documentation, policy exceptions, carrier and third-party activity, and workflow tracking so senior consultants can focus on client advice and complex solution design. The role also develops foundational risk-advisory expertise and may support defined client and advisor interactions under appropriate guidance.

Please see below for specific responsibilities and requirements for this role.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities.

· Case Management: Coordinate assigned insurance cases from intake through underwriting, issue and delivery; track requirements, deadlines, approvals and follow-up items.

· Policy Administration: Prepare and process applications, policy changes, exception requests, service forms and related documentation accurately and within established standards.

· Assessment Support: Gather client and policy information, organize existing coverage, prepare preliminary analyses and support the risk-assessment component of the wealth strategy process.

· Illustrations and Proposals: Request and organize carrier illustrations, quotes and marketing summaries; support comparison materials and presentation preparation for consultant review.

· Client and Advisor Service: Respond to routine inquiries, coordinate outstanding requirements and communicate case status to clients, advisors and internal partners within role authority.

· Carrier and Third-Party Coordination: Work with carriers, underwriters, transfer companies and other providers to resolve requirements and support timely implementation.

· Workflow and Records: Maintain accurate CRM, pipeline, electronic file and case-note information; ensure documentation is complete and readily available for review.

· Policy Review Support: Assist with in-force policy data collection, annual reviews, premium tracking and identification of items requiring consultant attention.

· Compliance and Controls: Follow licensing, privacy, documentation, suitability, escalation and operational requirements; promptly raise exceptions or concerns.

· Team Capacity and Development: Provide flexible coverage across regions, contribute to process improvements and build technical knowledge through coaching, training and progressively complex assignments.

· Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team's and the company's mission.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Three or more years of insurance, wealth management, financial planning, banking operations or comparable client-service experience.

· Appropriate state insurance licenses for Life, Health and Long-Term Care are required within the timeframe established by Fifth Third licensing guidelines.

· Demonstrated ability to manage detailed workflows, documentation and multiple deadlines accurately.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Qualified candidates will possess a working degree of proficiency, typically developed through three or more years of relevant experience, in:

· Case and Workflow Coordination: Organizing multiple cases, requirements, deadlines and stakeholders through completion.

· Documentation Accuracy: Preparing, reviewing and maintaining insurance and client documentation with close attention to detail.

· Client Service: Communicating professionally, following through on commitments and resolving routine service needs.

· Analytical Support: Gathering data, reviewing policy information and preparing organized materials for senior review.

· Risk Awareness: Following policies, protecting confidential information and escalating concerns appropriately.

Please refer to the “Skills for Success” section to learn how to stand out as an applicant.

SKILLS FOR SUCCESS:

Qualified candidates will possess a working degree of proficiency across a suite of skills including, but not limited to:

· Insurance Knowledge: Familiarity with life, disability, long-term care or annuity products, underwriting and policy-service processes.

· Technology and Data Management: Experience with CRM, carrier portals, workflow tools and Microsoft Office applications.

· Collaborative Execution: Working effectively with consultants, advisors, clients, carriers and operational partners.

· Learning Agility: Building technical knowledge and taking on increasingly complex case and client responsibilities.

· Professional Development: Progress toward CLU, ChFC, CFP or another relevant insurance or financial-planning designation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
