SUMMARY

As a Project Manager at Finalsite, you’ll be the go-to expert guiding schools and districts through the successful implementation and launch of Finalsite solutions. You’ll manage multiple projects at once, ensuring implementations stay on track, on time, and aligned with client goals.

This role goes beyond timelines and tasks. You’ll build trusted client relationships, provide consultative guidance, solve problems, and help clients make informed decisions throughout their implementation. Depending on the solutions being implemented, projects may involve operational and financial workflows such as enrollment, tuition and fee structures, billing processes, payment schedules, reporting, and data integrations.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and subject matter experts, translating client goals and business requirements into actionable project plans while ensuring clients understand their responsibilities, key decisions, and the downstream impact of their implementation choices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the project experience from kickoff through launch and transition, guiding schools and districts through Finalsite implementations with clarity and confidence.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing scope, timelines, deliverables, client expectations, dependencies, and key project performance metrics.
  • Drive project timelines and accountability by proactively managing milestones, identifying risks and roadblocks, and keeping clients and internal stakeholders aligned.
  • Serve as a trusted client partner by understanding business goals, leading effective discovery conversations, and translating client needs into clear implementation requirements and actionable plans.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to ensure technical, operational, and business requirements are understood and addressed throughout the project.
  • Lead client meetings, implementation discussions, and training sessions while setting clear expectations around scope, responsibilities, deliverables, timelines, and product capabilities.
  • Gather and document billing and financial requirements, helping clients understand how configuration decisions may impact their workflows, reporting, and day-to-day operations.
  • Develop a working understanding of client operational and financial workflows when relevant to the implementation, including tuition and fees, billing schedules, payments, credits/refunds, financial reporting, and related data requirements.
  • Maintain clear project documentation and proactively anticipate client needs, resolve challenges, and support a smooth transition from implementation to ongoing support.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, implementation, professional services, client onboarding, or a related role.

  • Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead conversations, set expectations, and build trusted relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand business processes, identify gaps, and translate complex requirements into actionable next steps.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and financial concepts relevant to software implementation, such as fees, billing schedules, payments, account balances, credits/refunds, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to discuss financial workflows with clients and understand the operational impact of configuration decisions; formal accounting credentials or CPA-level accounting expertise are not required.
  • High attention to detail when working with client data, financial information, configuration requirements, and project documentation.
  • Strong ability to work independently, anticipate challenges, and proactively solve problems without constant direction.
  • Comfortable learning and working across multiple software systems and tools to manage projects, analyze information, and streamline workflows.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities while ensuring each client receives appropriate attention and support.
  • Project management certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience with SaaS implementations, K–12 education technology, enrollment management, billing/payment platforms, financial systems, or similar solutions is a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
