The posting

Voor een internationale producent van duurzame bouwmaterialen zoeken we een Senior Accountant / Legal Entity Controller. Je maakt deel uit van het Europese Accounting & Internal Controls-team en ondersteunt de boekhouding van verschillende groepsentiteiten, waaronder een Franse vennootschap.

Je werkt nauw samen met een extern shared service center en interne financiële specialisten. Je zorgt voor betrouwbare afsluitingen, correcte rapportering en doeltreffende interne controles. Daarnaast help je de Europese boekhoudprocessen eenvoudiger en efficiënter te organiseren.

Je verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Ondersteunen van financiële afsluitingen en bewaken van de volledigheid van balans en resultatenrekening volgens US GAAP en lokale boekhoudnormen.
  • Controleren van boekingen en voorbereiden van kwartaalrapporteringen.
  • Nakijken van maandelijkse proef- en saldibalansen en rapporteringen over verkoop-, algemene en administratiekosten.
  • Onderzoeken en verklaren van financiële afwijkingen tegenover relevante vergelijkingsperiodes.
  • Coördineren van intercompanyreconciliaties en onderlinge afrekeningen met het shared service center.
  • Voorbereiden of ondersteunen van btw-aangiftes, vennootschapsbelasting, Intrastat, jaarrekeningen en andere wettelijke rapporteringen.
  • Ondersteunen van wettelijke audits, fiscale controles en rapporteringsvragen van Tax en Legal.
  • Afstemmen en uitklaren van treasuryrekeningen, tussenrekeningen en intercompanyfinancieringsrekeningen.
  • Bewaken van interne controles en SOX-compliance, inclusief rekeningreconciliaties en Europese balansreviews.
  • Afstemmen met onder meer FP&A, HR, Tax, Treasury, externe accountants en auditors.
  • Meewerken aan Europese financiële projecten en verbeteringen in boekhoudkundige processen.
  • Je hebt een diploma hoger onderwijs in Accountancy of Finance.
  • Je beschikt over 3 tot 5 jaar boekhoudkundige ervaring.
  • Je hebt ervaring met rapportering volgens US GAAP en Belgian GAAP.
  • Je spreekt vloeiend Nederlands, Frans en Engels.
  • Je hebt een sterke kennis van Excel en de gebruikelijke kantoortoepassingen.
  • Ervaring met SOX, treasury accounting en SAP is een pluspunt.
  • Kennis van een bijkomende Europese taal, zoals Duits is een troef.
  • Je combineert boekhoudkundige expertise met analytisch inzicht en een kritische blik op rapportering en controles.
  • Je plant en organiseert zorgvuldig en bewaart het overzicht over verschillende prioriteiten en deadlines.
  • Je werkt zelfstandig, proactief en pragmatisch en zoekt naar verbeteringen.
  • Je communiceert helder en maakt complexe onderwerpen begrijpelijk voor verschillende gesprekspartners.
  • Je werkt graag samen in een internationale matrixorganisatie en toont betrokkenheid en veerkracht.
