Vice President, Investment Banking

Fireclay Partners is building a technology-native investment bank. Vice Presidents are execution leaders: they own transaction workstreams, develop junior talent, and ensure that technology improves both the quality and the pace of client service.

What You Will Do

  • Lead day-to-day execution of M&A engagements, including process strategy, diligence, valuation, materials, outreach, and closing workstreams.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, buyers, investors, lawyers, accountants, and other advisers.
  • Manage Associates and Analysts, review work rigorously, and create clear accountability across teams.
  • Lead technology-enabled execution by selecting and supervising appropriate uses of AI, automation, structured data, and proprietary tools.
  • Turn recurring execution problems into durable workflows, templates, and standards that improve future engagements.
  • Support business development through high-quality market insight, positioning, and pitch leadership.

  • Excellent accounting, valuation, process-management, writing, communication, and client skills.
  • Practical fluency with AI-enabled workflows and the judgment to balance innovation with verification, confidentiality, and professional accountability.
  • Technical curiosity and the ability to work effectively with builders, data, and modern tools; coding experience is valued but not required.
  • A demanding but developmental leadership style and the ability to make teams more capable over time.

This is not an Associate role with a different title. The VP is accountable for execution leadership, team performance, and the disciplined adoption of better technology-enabled ways of working.
