Account Executive — First Principles

About First Principles

First Principles is an AI-first product management consulting, coaching, and education firm. We're growing our client base, and we're looking for an Account Executive to drive that growth alongside the CEO and the leadership team.

The role

Account Executive · Contractor engagement · Fully remote · Based in Mexico

You'll own the full sales cycle across FP's portfolio, from building pipeline to closing, and work directly with the leadership team.

What you'll do

  • Own the full sales cycle across FP's portfolio:
  • Enterprise AI-first product management training ($100K+ deals)
  • AI consulting and coaching engagements ($50K+ deals)
  • Content sponsorship deals ($10K+)
  • Build your own pipeline without SDR or marketing support
  • Sell to executives: CPOs, CEOs, founders, Heads of Product, Chief AI Officers, and HR/L&D leaders
  • Run consultative sales through multi-stakeholder buying processes and longer sales cycles
  • Work directly with CEO and the leadership team to grow the client base

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • 3 to 5 years of full-cycle sales experience
  • Currently an AE or Senior AE, or a high-performing SDR/BDR promoted into an AE seat
  • A track record of hitting or exceeding quota, with specific attainment numbers
  • Closed deals in the 50K–250K+ range; multi-six-figure custom engagements are a bonus
  • Experience selling to executives: CPOs, CEOs, founders, Heads of Product, Chief AI Officers, HR/L&D leaders
  • Comfortable in rooms with senior leaders and in multi-stakeholder buying processes
  • Experience with longer sales cycles and consultative selling
  • Strong written communication

Contractor-friendly experience we prioritize

  • You currently do fractional or contract sales work
  • You're recently between roles or open to non-W2 arrangements
  • You've sold at small firms where you wore multiple hats
  • You have 1099 experience or run your own LLC

About you

  • Intellectually curious, especially about AI and how businesses adopt new technology
  • Comfortable being early at a growing firm without heavy infrastructure
  • Self-directed: you can build pipeline without SDR or marketing support
  • Founder-friendly and comfortable working closely with the CEO
  • Entrepreneurial, and comfortable with the upside and risk of contractor work

Nice to have

  • Background in L&D, exec ed, or training sales
  • Prior experience selling consulting or professional services
  • Experience at a small firm (under 50 people)
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)
  • An existing book of business or warm relationships in target verticals

Compensation

  • 3,000–5,000 USD a month in retainer plus 6–8% commission
