Forma parte del equipo de Planta de Procesos en el sitio minero de Cobre Panamá, contribuyendo a la generación de información metalúrgica precisa, oportuna y confiable.

Buscamos un profesional para el Laboratorio Metalúrgico que apoye el monitoreo del desempeño de la planta, la optimización de procesos y la resolución de problemas operativos mediante la ejecución de pruebas de laboratorio, preparación de muestras y asistencia en programas técnicos.

Objetivo del cargo

El propósito del cargo es asegurar la generación de datos confiables para el seguimiento del desempeño de la planta, la optimización de procesos y la investigación de condiciones operativas. También brindará soporte técnico mediante la preparación de muestras, procesamiento de muestras tomadas de correas, pruebas de flotación, pruebas de sedimentación, estudios de planta, investigaciones metalúrgicas y actividades diarias de control de procesos

Requisitos indispensables

  • Título técnico, tecnólogo o licenciatura en Ingeniería Industrial, Ciencias Aplicadas o una disciplina técnica relacionada..
  • Conocimientos básicos sobre principios de muestreo, técnicas de preparación de muestras de mineral, pruebas de laboratorio y registro de datos.
  • Compromiso con el desempeño en Seguridad, Salud, Medioambiente y Comunidad, SHEC.
  • Atención al detalle y capacidad para identificar condiciones inusuales del proceso y reportar oportunamente cualquier desviación.
  • Capacidad para completar de forma clara y precisa bitácoras de turno, registros de muestreo e informes operativos.
  • Manejo intermedio de herramientas informáticas, incluyendo Excel, ingreso de datos y herramientas de reporte de planta.

Requisitos deseables

  • Experiencia previa en laboratorios metalúrgicos, geológicos, analíticos, de procesamiento de minerales o industriales.
  • Conocimientos o exposición a procesamiento de minerales, flotación, conminución, análisis de tamaño de partículas o sistemas de calidad de laboratorio.
  • Disposición para aprender sistemas y herramientas de mayor nivel técnico.
  • Dominio del inglés.

Responsabilidades principales

  • Ejecutar pruebas de laboratorio metalúrgico y preparar muestras para apoyar la operación y los proyectos técnicos.
  • Participar en campañas de muestreo, estudios de planta e investigaciones metalúrgicas.
  • Registrar resultados con precisión e identificar oportunamente condiciones inusuales del proceso.
  • Apoyar iniciativas de optimización, resolución de problemas y mejora continua.
  • Mantener los equipos del laboratorio en buenas condiciones y colaborar con su calibración y mantenimiento preventivo.
  • Controlar consumibles, reactivos, muestras y repuestos.
  • Cumplir con los procedimientos internos y las normas de salud, seguridad y medioambiente.
