Flagship Pioneering Co-Op Program

Welcome to Flagship Pioneering Co-Op Program for the cohort dreaming big and taking courageous leaps. You'll join fellow peers across our ecosystem of companies and learning firsthand how we build first-in-category companies. By the end, you will carry on a meaningful project outcome, a genuine network, and a front-row view of how Flagship pioneer new ventures that change the world.

About the Role

Metaphore is seeking an enthusiastic co-op to join our Comp Bio and AI/MLgroups. In this role, you will address key questions for our platform, including both drug discovery and technology development efforts, by analyzing, benchmarking, and interpreting the results of next-generation sequencing (NGS) drug discovery assays and evaluating AI/ML tools to respond to drug discovery questions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in data analysis and some knowledge of either the Python or R programming languages and AI/ML tools. In this position, they will have the opportunity to work across Metaphore's computational platform and learn and contribute to multiple bioinformatic analysis approaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and bespoke bioinformatic analyses for drug discovery efforts and technology development
  • Develop reproducible analysis code
  • Run bioinformatic pipelines and apply AI/ML tools
  • Communicate results and conclusions to colleagues

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python or R Familiarity with big data Some experience with AI/ML tools Strong communication skills

The pay range for this role is $25 - $35 per hour. This role is a short-term engagement that is not eligible for health and welfare benefits.
