Automotive Title Clerk
Flagstaff Nissan Subaru is currently looking to fill the role of Automotive Title Clerk. This role is a key administrative professional in car dealerships, financial institutions, or related automotive businesses. The title clerk is responsible for processing vehicle titles, registrations, and related documents, ensuring all transactions are accurate, complete, and legally compliant. This role is essential for smooth dealership operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
· Title and Registration Processing: Prepare, review, and submit all vehicle title and registration documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or relevant state agencies.
· Document Verification: Check ownership, lien holder information, and completeness of all paperwork, including Certificates of Origin and tax documents.
· Sales and Inventory Support: Assist with sales contracts, dealer trades, and inventory management, ensuring accurate records of all vehicles.
· Customer Assistance: Help customers with title transfers, registration fees, and inquiries, providing excellent service and resolving issues efficiently.
· Compliance and Reporting: Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations, update records, and report outstanding or problematic titles to management.
· Training and Coordination: Occasionally train sales staff or finance managers on title procedures and regulatory updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED; some positions may prefer additional office or administrative experience.
- Experience: Typically, 1–2 years in office administration, automotive sales, or related fields. Familiarity with dealership operations is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer systems for data entry, DMV software, and document management.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in reviewing and processing legal documents is critical.
- Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively with customers, sales staff, and government officials.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of state and federal vehicle title and registration laws.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position. Work week is defined as Monday through Saturday. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday.
